Some things I think as a GSD owner I should strive to educate people on.
•Do not adopt/purchase a GSD unless you have the time, resources, and patience to work with them.
•You can’t get one and just stick it in a backyard, they will escape.
•Socialization with everyone and everything is critical from day one and so on!
•Do not support back yard breeders.
•Do not use aversive training techniques on these dogs, it can lead to aggression and anxiety.
•Do not get a GSD because they look “cool”. They don’t come trained like you see in the movies it takes work.
•Lastly they will SHED forever. If you can’t embrace the “GSD GLITTER” this is not the breed for you.
So tired of seeing GSDs in shelters because people don’t do their research on the breed!
