We had an absolutely fantastic day at the North Alabama Canine Expo representing the majestic Great Dane breed during the “Meet the Breed” showcase with our gentle giants Merlin and Malachi!

Later in the afternoon, we switched gears and brought out Atreus and Louie to proudly represent Sashinkas Kennel. All of our incredible dogs today were there as ambassadors of North Alabama K9 Boarding & Training in Athens, AL—showing off not only their structure and beauty, but their outstanding temperaments and training.

We were also deeply honored to witness the retirement of Faro Blendy, an incredible Schutzhund German Shepherd handled by John Landry of Lan-Line K9 LLC. John is a huge mentor of mine, and I’m privileged to train with him weekly as I work with Cora, my Personal Protection dog. Watching Faro’s retirement was a powerful and emotional moment, and a true testament to the deep bond between handler and K9.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support responsible dog ownership, working breeds, and the dog sport community!

Good morning from North Alabama K9!

What a beautiful day it is today—perfect for some tail-waggin’ fun! We’re so excited to welcome two of our newest guests: Molly the 2 year old Rottweiler and Abi the 5 year old Boxer! These sweet girls are already making themselves right at home, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying plenty of playtime.

Busy Days & Happy Tails at North Alabama K9!

It’s been a full house (and farm!) this past month at North Alabama K9! We’ve had some of our regulars back for boarding, including Lucy the Boxer, Layla the Doberman, and Draco & Vhagar the Pitbulls—always a blast having these familiar faces around!

On top of that, we got to visit some of our farm guests, including Jerry the goat, Bella, Sonny, and KK the horses, plus the always-entertaining chickens. Whether it’s pups or farm animals, we love caring for them all!

Looking forward to more fun and furry (or feathery) adventures ahead! 🐾🐴🐐🐔

🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Sashinkas Kennels! 🍀

We hope everyone is having a wonderful day and, of course, wearing their green!

We currently have four lovely black and tan females available—Raven, Ruth, Riley, and Rain. These girls will be cropped on March 25 and ready to go shortly after. They will come current on all age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, lifetime microchipped, and AKC registered.

Here’s a little about each of them:

🐾 Raven – This girl is all about drive and work ethic! She would thrive in protection or sport work, but don’t let her high energy fool you—she still loves a good nap on the couch.

🐾 Ruth – Outgoing and incredibly smart, Ruth is always up for cuddles and playtime with her siblings. She’s a social butterfly with brains to match!

🐾 Rain – A little more reserved, Rain enjoys her quiet time but also loves to play hard when the mood strikes. She’s a sweet girl who will bond deeply with her family.

🐾 Riley – The laid-back observer of the bunch, Riley loves to sit back, watch, and learn before jumping into action. She has play drive but prefers to be the boss from a distance!
