It was a pleasure meeting so many great people today. Max had a great time meeting everyone and the other dogs. He is still seeking a permanent home.
Max, a 10-year-old Chicorgi, boasts a sunny disposition and lots of enthusiasm for squeaky toys, ball chasing, and playing in the swimming pool.
Moreover, he enjoys leisurely walks, car rides, and treats.
To ensure compatibility, we recommend a home with one additional dog, no cats, and a fenced yard.

Here is an update on Peanut. She visited the veterinarian last week, but due to her heat cycle, we were unable to complete the remaining mammary gland chain procedure and it has been postponed for a couple of weeks.
Otherwise, she is in high spirits, eager to interact with everyone, although we must exercise caution to avoid any unplanned breeding. Lol.
She is receiving ample affection and attention. Once the remaining mammary gland procedures and spaying are completed, she will be ready for her new home.

Yesterday, Max was seen by Bayshore Animal Hospital
For his dental surgery. Thirteen teeth were removed, but he is already on the road to recovery, free from the burden of nasty bacteria and bad teeth.
A heartfelt thank you to Bayshore for your invaluable assistance with our senior babies. The total for his dental was $857.00.

Meet our newest little senior dog. His name is Max he is a 30 lb Corgi/ Chihuahua mix and he is ridiculously adorable cute and funny. He came to us from Multnomah shelter after his dad passed away and the family could not care for him. He is looking for a home where someone will play with him toss a ball take him for walks he loves car rides and laying in your lap and being your new best buddy. Max gets along with kitties and other dogs and just about every human he meets .

Update on little Peanut: she's making fantastic progress! With her stitches out, she's loving every moment of running and playing with the other dogs, and her tummy is healing beautifully. In just a month, we'll take the next step, removing the remaining mammary tumors, and then she'll be all set to find her perfect forever home - stay tuned for the exciting updates.

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we bid farewell to Schatzi, a vibrant mini Schnauzer who brought immense joy to our lives. Rescued in July 2024, Schatzi thrived despite her medical challenges, spreading happiness wherever she went with her signature prance and love for squeaky toys. Although we sought a forever foster home for her, she ultimately found her haven here at the sanctuary, where she received unconditional love and care. Now, Schatzi's spirit soars free, chasing squeaky toys without pain, leaving us with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for the impact she had on our lives. Her legacy inspires us to continue providing a safe haven for senior dogs in need, and we will deeply miss our beloved Schatzi.

Little Lily is still searching for her dream home where she can flourish. She is 4 pounds of pure love and affection. She longs to be the cherished only furkid in your life, in a serene home with no kids and a fenced yard. She may be shy at first, but once you've gained her trust, she'll shower you with cuddles. Since she wasn't properly trained, you'll need to take her outside for potty breaks or use p*e pads. She adores going for walks, car rides, and simply spending time with you. Her heart skips a beat for squeaky toys.

Today was a testament to little Peanut's resilience. She underwent a significant surgery, having one entire chain of mammary glands removed and a few on the other side, with more to come in a month.
Despite this, she showed remarkable strength, recovering well and even eating tonight. Though the cone may be a nuisance, her overall well-being is a beacon of hope.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Jan Arnold, an incredibly generous individual who helped cover her veterinary bill. Your kindness is a shining example of compassion and generosity, and you are truly appreciated. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all.

Meet our newest little blessing, Peanut. She came to us from Clatsop County Animal Shelter after her daddy could no longer care for her. She is about 10 years old and does have some medical challenges.
Today she will be going to Bayshore Veterinary for surgery to have some mammary gland tumors removed.
Please remember her in your thoughts and prayers today that things will go smoothly, and when we pick her up this evening, she will be feeling much better.
