I cannot thank everyone enough for all your support as we have gone through this process of homing our babies and saying good bye to this beautiful chapter in our life. Thank you to everyone who has taken in our mama’s and our one boy Murphy it is such a blessing to know they are in good loving homes.

This is Luke, he is our very last who needs a home. We call him our problem child but it’s really not fair to him. He is just a strong headed male Chessie. He can be demanding, doesn’t like other males (girls being around may have been the factor in that by us) he can be a chicken at times which makes him feel like he need to be protective. He has never hurt anyone but because of this protective instinct he has I would prefer he not be in a home full time with young children. Luke is a happy boy who loves to run and play, he curious and full of life. He is very loyal and loves to cuddle. He needs a good owner who understands male Chesapeakes. I have 4 girls who still need a home. If you are interested please send me a message. Short back story on why we are rehoming if you did not see my previous post. Dad’s health will not allow him to continue to care for them as they need and he was once able. My work schedule has changed over the past year leaving me unable to continue to do it. My husband has stepped in; in the meantime, but we need someone who can give them the love and attention they deserve. Let me know.

If anyone wants to home an older Chesapeake. Let me know. We have a couple looking for a new home. My dad is getting older and not in the best of health it is hard for him to continue giving them the exercise and care they need. This decision has not come easy. My work schedule does not allow me any longer to pick up the slack where he falls short and my husband cannot continue to pick up my slack.
We have a male and females. They are currently more outside dogs and they love to be outside but will easily settle into being indoors if that is what you prefer. I just want to get them into good homes. You are welcome to come out and meet them if you’re interested. Send me a message for more details.

It is sad when dogs have to be rehomed, it is never an easy thing. For the dog or the owner. Keep in mind that if someone is taking the time to properly rehome a dog it is not due to lack of love for the dog. It’s quite the opposite. I have seen over time a lot of people saying negative things to people who have to make this decision. We do not know someone’s circumstances. They are already facing a difficult situation let’s remember to be kind even when we may not understand something.
