We don’t often address this kind of thing publicly, but we feel it’s necessary to clear the air. For the past year, we’ve been dealing with accusations from someone who claims we took animals from them without consent. This is simply not the case. We were contacted out of concern for the safety of the animals involved, and as always, we followed proper procedures—including documented, signed surrender forms.

There are certain situations you just can’t walk away from, and you know you must act. We are not in the business of taking animals that don’t need help. If you know us, you know how many calls, messages, and pleas for help we receive every single day.

We’re here for the animals, and we’re here for this community. We appreciate your continued trust, and we’re fully prepared to stand by our actions.

Friday feels: Gigi has been adopted!

Our fabulous deaf girl has landed herself the perfect forever home, and we’re heading into the weekend with full hearts and happy tails. She’s off to a home where she’ll be spoiled, snuggled, and celebrated for the lovebug she is.

Way to go, Gigi!

Calling all flooring fairies!
We’re sprucing up the apartment area where some of our sanctuary cats live, and we’re in need of a piece of linoleum—at least 7 ft x 16 ft. We’ve got glue, tools, and a whole team of curious kittens supervising… but no flooring.

If you’ve got a leftover piece taking up space, we’d love to use it to give our cats a comfier, cleaner space to run, nap, and pounce. Padded is great, but we’re not picky—our cats just want a nicer place to zoom!

Thank you so much for supporting our whiskered residents!

Meet Constance — the little black cat with a big, goofy heart! 🖤🐾

Constance is one of those cats who just makes your day better without even trying. With her wide, always-surprised eyes and her hilarious habit of sticking her tongue out mid-bath 😛, she’s guaranteed to keep you smiling. She’s affectionate, playful, and absolutely adores getting attention from our volunteers. You can often find her dramatically rolling around on our shelves, flashing her cutest poses in hopes of scoring some extra pets (and she usually gets them!).

She loves toys, especially anything battery-powered and feathery, but don’t mistake her for a wild child. Constance has the perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back sweetness. She doesn’t mind sharing her space with calm kitty companions, but she’s definitely not looking to join a full-on kitten wrestling match — she'd much rather keep things chill and cozy. 🐱💕

Constance does have some mild skin allergies and would really benefit from a limited-ingredient diet, something that's a little tricky for us to manage here in our open shelter environment. We know she will absolutely thrive in a home where her diet can be more easily controlled and tailored to her needs.

Born around March 2024, Constance is a petite girl just under 8 pounds, with a sleek solid black coat and a stocky little build that makes her even more endearing. She’s spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and has been treated for fleas and worms with a clean f***l test.

If you're ready for a cat who brings endless joy, laughter, and snuggles, Constance is ready for you. Fill out an application today and come meet the quirkiest sweetheart around! 🥰

🎉 FIVE Adoptions to Celebrate This Month! 🎉

While it’s been a slower month for adoptions here at The Cat House Feline Sanctuary, our hearts are full — FIVE of our amazing kitties have found their forever homes! 🥰

✨ Oscar – Our beloved snaggle-toothed tiger has found his perfect match! 🐯 After waiting so patiently, Oscar is now living his best life, and we couldn’t be happier for him.
✨ Leo – Sweet Leo was adopted by one of our longtime volunteers! 💕 Knowing he’s with someone who already loves and understands him means the world to us.
✨ Figaro – Our playful kitten Figaro is settling right in with his new family — and he even has a new big sister, Bobbi, to show him the ropes! (pictured below 🐾)
✨ Paddy & Clover – Our lucky St. Patrick’s Day siblings found a home together! 🍀 Double the love, double the joy.

Even in a slower month, every adoption reminds us why we do what we do — and every happy ending keeps us going. Thank you to our amazing adopters for opening their hearts and homes! 💛

📣 From “Feral” to Family-Ready: Freddie’s Amazing Transformation 💛🐾

Who remembers "feral" Freddie?
A few months ago, we shared a video of a scared little black-and-white cat who wouldn't let us near him. He came into our care in December, completely shut down and terrified of people. We weren’t even sure if he could ever be adopted. He wouldn’t let us touch him for the first 6 weeks. He hid. He froze. He flinched.

But love is patient. And sometimes, love comes in the form of a determined little kitten named Biscotti. 💫
Biscotti didn’t care that Freddie didn’t want a friend—she made herself his anyway. She insisted on playing with him. She invited him to pounce, to chase, to trust. Slowly, play turned into confidence… and confidence turned into cuddles.

Now? Freddie is the ultimate lap cat. 🥹
He runs to greet us every morning. He follows us around, looking for hugs. And if you sit down? Expect a snuggle. He's not just friendly—he’s a shadow, a companion, a soft-hearted soul who chose to let the world in.

And through it all, Biscotti has remained his partner-in-crime, his joy, his best friend. We’d love nothing more than to see them find a home together.

Freddie is just over 2 years old, neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccines, negative for FeLV/FIV, and has a clean bill of health. Biscotti, a playful 8-month-old, is also fully vetted and ready for her forever.

Their story is one of healing, hope, and the quiet magic that happens when we just give them time.

If you’d like to meet Freddie (and his ride-or-die Biscotti), fill out an application today:

A No Kill Feline Sanctuary

Our sanctuary is an open environment for the cats. We do not have our cats in cages. They are all free roaming, able to interact and socialize with one another. This helps us get to know them, their personalities, who gets along with whom, and behaviors. This helps us match the right cat with the right family, to help insure a purrfect relationship! All of our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for feline leukemia, distemper, and rabies as well as tested for feline aids (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV), wormed and given monthly flea treatment. They are also treated for all prevalent illnesses while in our care. We have a wide range of cats looking for new homes. We have a variety of ages from kittens, adult, and senior cats. We have long hair, short hair, a variety of colors, some declawed, males and females, as well as siblings. We also have a few special need cats, so we are sure that we can find the right match for your family. We do require a veterinarian reference prior to making an appointment to come and see the cats. We will contact your vet prior to the appointment so we can make sure that our cats will be properly cared for in loving homes.
