“Rango” is the kind of gelding everyone wants in their barn — sweet, quiet, and experienced! We’ve had him in our training program for the last 3 years and he has been ridden successfully by multiple riders with different ability levels. He’s a huge confidence builder for green riders in both the Reining and Ranch events. Rango is more “whoa” than “go” and will never go faster than you ask for.
Rango is easy to be around and uncomplicated in every way. He loads, hauls, bathes, clips, and stands great for the farrier. He’s the same dependable gelding every ride. We would love to keep him in our program if possible! Solid geldings like this are hard to find and anyone would be lucky to own him!
Rango has been successfully shown in NRHA competition with $3,000+ LTE in Open, Rookie, and Green Rider events. He’s a big stopper, fast turner, and has easy lead changes.
He has also been shown successfully through AQHA in Reining, Ranch Riding, and Working Western Rail, earning 7.5 AQHA points with very limited showing. Rango has all the tools to excel in the AQHA Ranch Events —natural level topline, expressive look, smooth gaits & transitions, and standout extended trot.
Rango has been exposed to cattle and we believe he would enjoy going further in that direction as well!
