Our next session of classes starts June 10 & 11.
Intro to Dog Sports is offered on your choice of Wednesday or Thursday evenings at 7:30. Earn your CGC and Novice Tricks titles! Rally classes are on Wednesday evenings with Advanced through Master at 6:30 and Novice/Intermediate at 7:30.
Our Obedience classes are offered on Thursdays, with Grad Novice/Open at 6:30 and Beg Novice/Novice at 7:30.
Beginner Scentwork will be on Thursdays at 7:30.
All classes are held at the Salvation Army in Hendersonville.

It is with a heavy heart that i am writing this.

After 50 years, the Obedience Club of Asheville is closing up shop. New rules were implemented at our current training location has made it very difficult for us. Our members are aging out and as there is plenty of need of people needing help training their dogs to be Canine Good Citizens, not many new people are interested in dog sports.

OCA has held many Obedience trials throughout the years with the last one in 2016,

We have helped countless number of people with their puppies and older dogs. And yes, you can teach old dogs new tricks! (Owners are a little harder to retrain but still possible). 😊 In our 50 years, we have had many repeat owners come thru with new dogs after the others crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈

We want to thank the community for your love and support. A hugh thank you to all the current members and past members who made this club great in the 50 years of existence, and the dog show participants who attended our trials. We will miss you all. 😘
