As we celebrate our graduates today, we also want to take a moment to recognize the pivotal team members who took great care to teach and mentor the students this semester.

Lemaj, Nik, Lisa, and Amias - your guidance and support day after day and week after week, was paramount to the students experience and their success. The memories and lessons you shared will continue to guide them throughout their career. You instilled confidence, resilience, bravery, professionalism, and so much more. We are so grateful for the time, effort, and compassion you’ve put in every day and we know the students are too.

Swipe to see sweet Penelope’s amazing transformation and see below to read her incredible story💙

Penelope is a 4 year old female toy poodle that came to us for some TLC after her journey from Missouri where she and many other dogs were rescued by and transported to . When we saw their post about the rescue operation, we reached out to LCAS to lend a helping hand and offer our services to help give dogs like Penelope a fresh start.

As you can see in the before photos, Penelope needed a good bath, a hair cut, and lots of love along the way. Our student Leyla was assigned to groom Penelope and reported that she stole every heart she came into contact with. Penelope loves to cuddle and she even fell asleep in Leyla’s arms a few times🥰

Penelope has had a big adventure these past couple of days and is not yet ready for adoption but we know that when she is, there will be a line of potential adopters waiting for this sweet girl.

We are so grateful for this experience for our students as it not only reinforces the knowledge and skills they’re being taught, but emphasizes the immense compassion and care required for every pet when they come to us for grooming services. Understanding the pet’s background, what they’ve experienced, their personality, and their unique quirks and needs are all vital to being able to provide our services in a way that creates a positive and comfortable experience for the pet.
