Hi, I’m Dreidel! I’m an orange tabby with a chill, easygoing vibe. I tend to be a bit more reserved, but once I get to know you, I’m all about those quiet, cozy moments. I’m not the loudest or most outgoing, but I definitely enjoy the company of my favorite humans, especially if there’s a comfy spot to curl up together. One thing that will quickly become obvious: I love food. Mealtime is my absolute favorite part of the day, and I’ll be right there, eagerly awaiting my next tasty treat. Whether it’s snacks or a full meal, I’m always excited to see what’s coming my way — and I’m very polite about letting you know how much I appreciate it! Meet Mary Poppins:
Hi there, I’m Mary Poppins! At just under a year old, I know I may catch your eye with my youthful charm and adorable face, but let me tell you a little more about myself. I’m a sweet, shy girl who’s still figuring out that the world isn’t so scary. Right now, everything feels a bit overwhelming, and I’ll need a family who understands that building trust with me will take time, patience, and lots of love.

While I’m still getting used to this new environment at FOHA, I’ve discovered one thing that helps me feel more like a carefree pup—being around other dogs! Watching them play and interact gives me a little extra confidence, so I might do best in a home with a calm, friendly dog who can show me the ropes.

I haven’t fully let my playful side shine just yet, but I’m starting to learn that tasty treats like cheese and hot dogs are pretty great. What I really need, though, is a family who’s willing to go slow with me, meet me a few times to let me get comfortable, and give me the time I need to blossom.

If you’re patient, kind, and ready to help me learn that people can be my friends, I just might be the perfect pup for you. I’m still new here, and I have so much to learn, but with the right home, I know I’ll find my confidence and grow into the wonderful companion I’m meant to be.

Celebrate your true love this Valentines Weekend and create a keepsake you will cherish furever. We have heart magnets and a rainbow of paints ready for your pup to create the pawfect artwork to put on the fridge for all to admire.

Who: You & your pup
What: A keepsake you will cherish furever
Where: In store event
How: You choose the paint colors, we place the blank canvas (heart magnet) in a ziplock bag with your paint, we put peanut butter or pumpkin on the bag, your pup licks the treat off the bag and creates one of a kind art.

What better way to show your dog that you love them than by checking them for lumps, bumps and anything suspicious?

Today is the 14th of the month which means it’s Check Your Dog Day. Early detection of any abnormal lumps, bumps and smells can gain you added years of time with your precious pup.

Start at the nose and go to the tip of the tail. Slowly rub your hands across your dogs body, taking note of any lumps or bumps you find. Look closely at the eyes, ears, inside the mouth and between the toes for any discoloration or unusual odor. Feel all the lymph nodes for lumps that don’t belong. And call your vet if you find anything at all to get it checked out.

Our groomers all live in the areas that received the most snow, so they are taking the day off to dig out. The store is open so come in to say hi!! Your dog called and said to buy him some chews and a new toy when you do stop by. Let's hope this snow melts fast and we can get on with business as usual.

Well the snow finally arrived and the roads are getting slick, so we are closing the store an hour early today. Current plans have us opening at 9am tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who came in to shop and visit with us earlier today~we always love seeing your smiling faces and dogs wiggling butts!!

Between the snow and the frigid temps, now is a good time to stock up on some natural chews so our pups have something fun to do while being cooped up inside the next few days. Charlie, our CCO (Chief Chewing Officer), is enjoying a braided lamb collagen chew this morning.

Have y’all seen the latest weather reports? It’s looking highly likely that we will be getting snow on Sunday. How much remains to be seen. And with the super below freezing temps you need to make sure you have all the cold weather essentials. SafePaw Ice Melt is safe for use around your pets and a better option for your landscaping and sidewalks too. We just got in some more at the store but they will be gone fast!! Grab one before they are all gone again.

To give the roads a little more time to heat up after the overnight refreeze, we are delaying our opening to 9am. We miss seeing all of your pups ~ come visit and pick up some chews to keep them entertained during this cold snap.
