Can y'all believe that next week is Thanksgiving already? We have a hand full of grooming appointments left before the big day but you better call soon because they have been filling up fast!

We will close at 4pm on Wednesday, November 26th and will reopen for business on Saturday, November 29th at 9am to celebrate Small Business Saturday. Our groomers and client care team are taking an extended Thanksgiving Break to spend time with their families and do some Holiday Shopping.

What better way to show your dog that you love them than by checking them for lumps, bumps and anything suspicious?
Today is the 14th of the month which means it’s Check Your Dog Day. Early detection of any abnormal lumps, bumps and smells can gain you added years of time with your precious pup.
Start at the nose and go to the tip of the tail. Slowly rub your hands across your dogs body, taking note of any lumps or bumps you find. Look closely at the eyes, ears, inside the mouth and between the toes for any discoloration or unusual odor. Feel all the lymph nodes for lumps that don’t belong. And call your vet if you find anything at all to get it checked out.

Dear Belly Rubs Family,

As we approach our 13th anniversary, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each of you for your support, trust and kindness since our opening day on November 17, 2012. What began as a small dream — to create a place where dogs are loved, cared for and spoiled — grew into a beautiful community that has truly become family.

After much reflection, I’ve made the difficult decision that as our lease comes to an end, it’s time for me to move back home to be closer to my parents, who now need me more and more each day. Because of this, Belly Rubs Biscuit Bar & Spa will permanently close our Loudoun County location at the end of the day on December 23, 2025.

Our entire team is deeply thankful for the loyalty and love you’ve shown us over the years. You’ve trusted us with your beloved pets, supported our small business through thick and thin and made Belly Rubs a joyful place to come to work every single day.

Between now and December 23rd, we invite you to call ahead to get those holiday grooming appointments with your pups favorite groomer scheduled and shop our amazing holiday specials we have planned in the store as we celebrate 13 unforgettable years together.

We are working with our dedicated and talented team to assist them during this transition. Our wonderful groomers are currently finding their next grooming homes and after we close, we’ll send a follow-up email with details on where you can find each of them, so you and your pups can continue to be in great hands.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for 13 years of laughs, licks, loyalty and love. Serving this community has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
