King came back to board with us for a couple of weeks while his new human baby brother was born into the pack. His baby brother was born December 4, 2021

King worked on proofing his obedience around a 1 year old baby while he was boarding to help prepare him for what's to come. King returned home this passed weekend with a follow-up lesson. We are all Extremely PROUD of King! He is co existing with the family and baby just fine making great decisions and staying out of the baby's personal space. This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship! Keep up the great work! Happy for whole family!🥰❤

Blu and Copper completed and graduated their 6 week Board and Train Program last week!🎓

Blu had his go home lesson and returned back home with his family on Thursday 12/2/21. Blu is a dominant adolescent intact male going through changes as he continues to mature. His owners now have the knowledge and tools to effectively communicate with Blu also understanding how to advocate and hold him accountable in real life situations. We are very proud of him in all that he has accomplished! We look forward to our follow-up lesson after the holidays! Continue to follow .thegsd journey! 💙

Copper had his go home lesson on Saturday 12/4/21 and was placed with his new family!
This is their very first dog companion. His family is dedicated to do whats best for Copper. He is adjusting well with his new family with everything he has learned and is living his happiest life! Copper is a very energetic pup and is living with a very active family who will make sure his needs are met every day both physically and mentally to ensure he stays happy and healthy! ❤

Nova showing a perfect example how a dog should behave during a nail trim! 🌟

This is a huge accomplishment for her as well, because she does not like to be restrained at all. She also needs to take a sedative before going to the vet because her behavior is out of control. This took a lot of work for her to let me place her in a submissive position to cut her nails.
Anyone who knows this dog knows her phrase is "psycho but cute"

Nova is not an aggressive dog, but she has a strong prey drive and suffers from extreme anxiety causing her to spin uncontrollably at times.

Nova is muzzled because it helps alleviate her stress and keeps us both safe. Most dogs hate having their nails trimmed from lack of body handling training and/or having a negative experience. We highly recommend conditioning all dogs to muzzles, so they feel comfortable wearing them. NEVER just put a muzzle on a dog and expect them to like it, it will only cause them stress and frustration.

Blu and I are building our relationship and earning trust. He is learning how to co exist around other dogs in a calm structured environment.

All dogs are calm and respecting each others space. It's always important to expose dogs to many different environments, people and other animals, but should never be forced to interact with unfamiliar animals, dogs or people.

Socialization without interaction will help a nervous or fearful dog feel comfortable; boosting their self confidence. Improper socialization causes dogs to become either fearful, nervous, reactive/aggressive and insecure.

Welcome Blu! 🤩💙☀️
He is a 1 year old Handsome, but fearful and anxious Long Coated German Shepherd!

Blu arrived last night for his 4 week Board and Train to address his reactivity towards dogs and unwanted behaviors such as barking and jumping at the door.

During the next 4 weeks Blu will be working on Crate Training, Basic Obedience, Socialization, Confidence Building, Leash Manners/Reactivity, Off Leash Obedience, Polite Manners at home/in public and Self Control.

Blu is off to a great start already!
