We are a New Jersey 501(c) non-profit corporation with the goal of helping as many kittens and cats find loving homes through various channels. As many of you who followed us on social media might know, we started fostering out of our home in the summer of 2016 and were able to place 37 kittens with forever homes within our first 2 months. We also want to create a space where the public can learn

about cats, interact with them, and potentially take them home. We still hope to continue fostering kittens but Catsbury Park Tea House & Cat Lounge itself will focus on adult cats who, while available for adoption, are residents of the cafe and interact with customers. We also feel that Asbury Park, our favorite place, needs a tea lounge and have focused on providing high-end tea service to provide the best experience for those who come to spend time with our cats!

Happy birthday to , our leader behind the scenes. While writing this post, I realized I have no decent pictures that aren’t group shots, because the only ones we ever share with each other are ones where we are covered in cat p**p, vomit, or something unsightly.

Either way. We all love you, and Catsbury Park wouldn’t still be going strong without your dedication and passion. Thanks for all the spreadsheets and organization, thanks for all the lives you’ve helped save, and most of all, thanks for being you. Happy 50th ❤️❤️❤️

Little Meredith Grey went off to her forever home this weekend. She was a part of the “Grey’s Anatomy” kittens … if that wasn’t obvious enough 😝

Dawn reached out to us an applied for adoption because she wanted to add a second kitty to her home. Her current cat needed a buddy so we said come on down to the lounge to see if she clicked with any of the adoptable cats. Well, Meredith made it very clear she was ready to be a part of Dawn’s family! We made it official and sent Meredith on her way to her forever home!!

These adoptions are only possible thanks to our incredible cat community. Thank you to Meredith’s foster parents Terri and Bernadette for taking such good care of them so they’d be ready for adoption. We can’t thank you enough!

Okay okay - we know we’ve been posting a lot of kittens lately and well, that’s because we have a lot of them! But we also have a lot of adult cats that are looking for their homes.

Today we wanted to introduce you to one of our younger adult cats, Herman. This beautiful void boi came to us by way of Plainfield - their shelter was heavily affected by the flooding in July and they had several cats that needed placement. We were contacted and we had room to take two of these cats into our care and Herman was one of them. We don’t know how Herman ended up at the shelter, but for a cat that has been moved around to new and strange places he is doing very well!! He settled in with us almost immediately.

Herman is about two years you g and he is full of love. He tends to stay to himself in the towers but don’t let him fool you - he isn’t shy at all! He is a gentle guy that would make someone a very special companion. Hermie has been looked over since he came to us so we wanted to give him a little spotlight in hopes his person might be out there reading our post!

The Catsbury Cats got a very special surprise this week!!

sent a whole bunch of boxes filled with toys and treats. Our volunteers had a blast presenting them with their first box - beach themed 🏖️

Liam and George were the first two to investigate and we think it’s safe to say — they approve!!

TERIYAKI!

Teriyaki was a part of the sauce kittens litter - who came to us from a parenting shelter with their momma Butterball (who is also up for adoption!)

Teriyaki was nothing but snuggles and purrs during his time with us. Nicole and her husband applied to adopt right after meeting him, which we were not surprised about at all! After we got them pre-approved we set a date for adoption - and the rest is history.

We can’t wait to see Teriyaki grow and thrive with Nicole and her family. Teriyaki is off to a loving home with two human siblings - and so much love. This little guys life started in the shelter and we are so glad to be a part of his story - knowing he is off to be spoiled and loved as he should be.

A few of the many faces of Smurf.

We rescued Smurf at the end of July around a week old and has since been strutting through every kitten milestone. That’s all thanks to the world’s best neonatal kitten foster, Terri! It’s an extremely tough job and we are unbelievably lucky to have someone with her tireless dedication apart of the Catsbury family.

We won’t be taking any applications on Smurf until he is ready for adoption, which won’t be for another few months. Thank you
