New Terrain Brewing in golden will have Fresh Prints out next week!

“Next weekend (9/11 - 9/13) is WanderFest Anniversary Weekend where we will be celebrating 9 years of wandering! We are ramping up for that with new beer releases every day this week:

Today, Tuesday, 9/2: Blaster Colorado Pale Ale is back. Draft + Cans.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, 9/3: Desert Runner, a Cactus Fruit Gose w/ Dragon Fruit & Prickly Pear, is releasing. Draft + Cans.

Thursday, 9/4: WanderFest Festbier hits the taps. Cans were released last week and are still available, so Draft + Cans. We also have A Very Jerry Band playing 6-9pm.

Friday, 9/5: Floodland, an Anniversary Double IPA, is coming back for the first time since 2017 with a new and refreshed recipe coming it at 8.4%

Next week we still have more to come! Fresh Prints Fresh Hop IPA, 3 variations of a brand new Barleywine called Boroughs, and more... The beer list is going to be insane by next weekend.”

The Great Central City ( Colorado) Beer Fest is tomorrow/Saturday…. I’ll be there all day… my hops are decorating the stages and booths.. hope to see some of you up there.

Beer Fest is Central City's premier beer festival. Attendees will taste some of the best brews from the Front Range/Denver Metro Area breweries. Come join in the fun, only found in historic downtown Central City, Colorado.

UPDATE: all done with picking the chinooksor New Terrain!

Lots of great volunteers yesterday and today… and we busted through all of the hop bines quicker than expected ..
100+lbs are now in the New Terrain walk in cooler waiting for the brew day to start!!

I’m picking my chinook hops this weekend for New Terrain Brewing ( Golden, CO) August 15/16/17
Friday 8-4
Saturday 9-8pm
Sunday ….only if needed

If you would like to help pick these hops ( inside the shade of the barn) with me, message me to get on the list.

These hops are bagged up in clean used grain bags and taken to New Terrain’s coolers on Sunday and brewed to Fresh Prints IPA on Monday day morning.

Update:
Hallertau hops are in solid cone phase … these eager beaver German/Czech hops love to get picked first… and they will probably get their wish in 7-10 days.

Chinook.. they are proceeding through flowering stage and should for m cones soon…. Picking the first or second week of August I think.

All the Chinnook go to the team at New Terrain Brewing for “Fresh Prints” fresh hop IPA.

The Hallertau go to a private buyer with a remarkably strong love of the Hallertau.

On a hop farm business note….
Voss hop farm will likely grow and provide hops only through the 2027 season, but that is it… so if you want to start your own hop farm.. and perhaps team up with New Terrain (.. it will be their call) to supply them with fresh hops… I would be willing to help you start your own hopyard.

Hallertau Mittlefruh rhizomes and crown pieces have been delivered to Quirky Homebrew in north Denver (Huron and 115th). There are also a few Chinook rhizomes, but not many.

I am re-focusing (my now smaller hopyard) on Chinook for the fresh hop market.. specifically New Terrain Brewing in Golden.

Get your quality Cow Manure Compost (1 year old and nicely composted) from Rene.

Location is out in Keenesburg (I-76 east to Bromley Lane then east some more.. or about 5 miles south of the the Wild Animal Sanctuary if you know where that is)

It is only $35 for a full truck load.
Nice guy and great, well aged, dark composted manure.

Local friends who aready know how to get to the farm/my house, if you just need a bucket or two, come to my place and fill up.

Known around these parts as Ol’ Jimmy, James has been with New Terrain Brewing for over six years. He recently took on a new role as Art Director so you won’t be seeing him behind the bar anymore - he’ll be up in the office most of the day creating posters, social media banners, label artwork, signs, and more; but don’t fret ... he’ll still join you at the bar for a chin wag at the end of the day. James is a big fan of live music, collecting vinyl records, spending time with his wife and daughter, and generally pretending to be 20 years younger than he is. At one point he was an actor, too! Does anyone remember Pony Up, Daddy? Yeahhh ... he’s totally in that commercial.

🍻 His favorite New Terrain beers are Lost Colorado IPA and Rise & Climb Kölsch, poured generously into a 10-ounce “tenner” glass.
