***PROGRESS UPDATE***

Who doesn’t love an adorable puppy face like this!! Kaiser is really finding himself and his place within the family and pack. He’s come leaps and bounds in the short week we’ve had him.

At 7 months old (in 2 days), he is a super fast learner. Still working on potty training (we have been fighting some unwanted learned behavior) but I’m hesitant to hope we may have turned the corner finally….time will tell.

He watches everything. He sees his world and everything in it with so much interest and earnest. In true GSD fashion, he learns his world with his nose and takes his time to investigate every little thing. He is so curious!!

We have been building up his trust, teaching him that he is safe and loved with us, and can meet new people without being afraid of them. He’s still very picky about some people more than others. We definitely have that in common.

In fact, his 2nd trip to the vet was hugely successful!! He voluntarily went up to meet everyone with NO FEAR! He only got a little bit scared when Dr Kim came in but I think he knew she had the “pointy things” that no one is a fan of (I can’t blame him, I’m not a fan either). It as always, Dr Kim was super sweet and gentle and everyone took really good care of him.

Did I mention, Kai loves long walks? Doesn’t matter if it’s raining or windy or sunny and warm. He’s happiest taking a tour of nature and exploring all things.

It’s a great day to be Kaiser Soze!! Happy Friday!! Enjoying the sunshine and all the farm smells on this breezy afternoon. Kai did so good walking on the long lead, checking things out, getting some exercise, and building his confidence. Long way to go but huge strides today for this little one. 🐾💙🐾

Do you know Keyser Soze? … (iykyk) Please help us welcome this little baby into our pack! He’s got a long way to go. This cute little guy is about 6 months old and he hasn’t gotten to socialize a whole lot. This may take some time but I think he’s in good hands and paws with us. Welcome to the Heirdom’s Fur-Family, Kaiser Soze!!

Proud Mama-Moment!!
I want to brag on my son for a moment. He’s taken some big steps forward into the next chapter in his life and 🐾Lilith🐾 has joined him. Together, they are working on becoming an unstoppable team. They have bonded in my absence, and my son has taken up the mantle of training Lily. They are working on obedience and proper behavior in public spaces. I’m thrilled they are going to be taking their first steps into Schutzhund this year. He will also continue her service work training. They make it look so easy!! I’m excited to watch them grow together. 🐾🖤🐾
Pics of my insanely beautiful Lily-girl because my son is allergic to cameras. 🤪

Again, thank you to the ethical and professional families and breeders who spend so much time and effort to produce strong, working dogs with proven genetics. It takes real, raw love for and dedication to preserving the breed to invest the time, energy, and focus to produce dogs that will not only remain true to this breed but bring healthy, intelligent, balanced dogs into this world.

🐾LOKI🐾
Oh the face on this sweet boy, nevermind the awkward teenage phase as he grows into his handsomeness. He is incredibly soft and gentle but still so much rambunctious puppy left in him, yet. He’s most definitely a Mama’s Boy, and that’s just fine by me 😁 Loki has a lot of potential in dog sports, confirmation, and service work. Loki has a strong prey drive, good bite, lots of energy, just the right amount of aggression, quick as a whip, loads of brains (when he is able to tap into them, he’s still young), and so-so much energy!! I’m incredibly proud of the big boy he’s becoming. I want to express my gratitude to the amazing, well-intentioned breeders and families that put so much love, intention, and dedication into producing healthy, strong, well-balanced puppies.

Not every person is meant to carry the weight of certain genetics. And that isn’t arrogance, it’s responsibility.

These dogs weren’t created for aesthetics.
They were created for purpose. For work. For stability under pressure. For clarity of mind and strength of nerve. Their genetics carry generations of intention, not trend.

But today, people choose them for how they look.
The power. The intimidation. The status. The image.

And when looks are chosen over genetics, the dog pays the price.

Because a working-bred nervous system placed in unprepared hands doesn’t become “impressive.”
It becomes confused. Frustrated. Overstimulated. Labeled as aggressive, anxious, reactive, or broken.

These dogs don’t need control for the sake of control.
They need guidance.

They don’t need pressure used without purpose.
They need structure that creates security, fulfillment that meets their genetics, and clarity in communication.

They don’t need to be possessed.
They need to be partnered with.

A Malinois without purpose becomes frantic.
A Cane Corso without guidance becomes insecure.
A Doberman without trust becomes defensive.
A German Shepherd without balance becomes unstable.
A Pit Bull without direction becomes misunderstood.
A Heeler without an outlet becomes destructive.

None of those outcomes are the dog’s fault.

We created these breeds to be powerful, driven, sensitive, and intelligent.
Then we punish them for being exactly what we designed.

The tragedy isn’t that these dogs are “too much.”
The tragedy is that too many people take them without being enough.

Enough knowledge.
Enough patience.
Enough structure.
Enough accountability.

Owning a powerful breed should never be about image.
It should be about honoring the responsibility that comes with their genetics.

Because these dogs don’t exist to serve ego.
They exist to work beside capable hands and steady minds.

And when they land in the wrong ones, we don’t just fail the dog. We erase the very purpose they were born for.
