We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and high-energy Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face and voice of our clinic. In this role, you will bridge the communication gap between pet owners and our medical team, ensuring a seamless, positive experience from the moment a client walks through our doors. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely loves helping both people and animals.
Key Responsibilities
• Client Relations: Greet clients and patients warmly, manage check-ins/check-outs, and maintain a tidy reception space.
• Communications: Handle multi-line phone systems, answer client emails, text messages, and manage appointment scheduling.
• Financial Processing: Efficiently calculate, prepare, and process invoices, payments, and clinic retail sales.
• Medical Records: Update clients contact info, input patient weights, upload history, and maintain electronic medical charts.
• Pharmacy Coordination: Help manage prescription refill requests for client pick-up under doctor authorization.
• Triage Support: Identify urgent or emergency patient calls and accurately route them to medical staff.
Qualifications & Skills
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of customer service experience (veterinary clinic, medical front desk, retail, or hospitality preferred).
• Tech Literacy: Proficient in basic computer software; experience with veterinary practice systems is a major plus.
• Animal Comfort: Comfortable working closely with all types of companion animals, including stressed or anxious pets.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or sit for long intervals and safely lift objects/pets weighing up to 40-50 lbs.
