It’s Veterinary Reception appreciation week!

We would like to take a moment to recognize our team up front.

They are much more than "just the front desk." They provide the first warm welcome to our clinic, serve as a steady voice during emergencies, and act as the vital bridge between our medical staff and pet parents. Our team skillfully manages high-stress situations, phone calls, and complex scheduling with incredible compassion and efficiency.

The high level of medical care we provide would not be possible without their exceptional communication and organizational skills. Please join us in thanking them for all they do when you next visit us.

I am honored beyond words to have been Oso's veterinarian for many years. He always had a great fascination with our rings we wore, was willing to give kisses, and strong drive to do his job. It was also my honor to help him with peace, love, and dignity when the pain of cancer was too much.

Echinoccous multilocularis (a type of tapeworm) has been in the news recently due to the UW study on prevalence in the coyote population of Western Washington. This can be a fatal infection if left untreated in our pets as definitive hosts, but they only get it from eating an infected intermediate host with is a rodent. It is not spread from coyote to dog, even with contact with coyote f***s. If your dog is likely to eat a rodent, please contact our office to discuss possible prevention of this infection. This is a zoonotic disease (can be spread to humans), so we need to evaluate risk with each of our pets.

12 years ago I started this practice with a small staff of 2 and we have grown to 5 doctors, and 14 support staff. We have outgrown the facility but my staff still manages it all so well. I would like to take this opportunity to really say thank you to my staff and my clients for trusting in my and my dream. Here's to many more years helping the pets and owners of our community. We are a small business owned by me and only me. -Dr. Krystal Grant.
