Things are getting RUFF out there! Schools are canceled, people are being asked to work from home, and necessities are running low. Canine Performance is still here for you! Even if you’re working from home, consider keeping to your regular dog walking schedule. If you’re worried about us spreading the virus, don’t! Our walkers have always been required to follow a strict sanitary protocol to prevent the spread of many common canine illnesses (kennel cough, worms, etc) All walkers are carrying hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes to wipe down door k***s, key pads, leash handles and all items they touch. They are also wearing a new pair of gloves during each visit and bringing their own pen to write the note. I have always had a firm “no contact” policy with the team and clients, which was mainly to avoid miscommunication and scheduling errors, however it is coming in very handy right now with keeping social distance. If a team member is sick, showing symptoms, or has been in contact with someone whose tested positive for COVID-19 they are on leave. I started Canine Performance right before the 2008 financial crisis. Talk about bad timing! With that said, the economical impact COVID-19 will have on Canine Performance will be devastating and we will be deeply affected by this global pandemic. Please don’t cancel unless necessary. If you can afford it, I urge you to keep your regularly scheduled dog walks. If there is anything we can do on our end, please don’t hesitate to call, email, or text me. As we navigate through these challenging times, we must remember that we are all in this together.

On behalf of all of us at Canine Performance, thank you to all veterans and your families for making the ultimate sacrifice to keep our country safe. To those who have served, currently serving, and those lost in the line of duty, thank you for your example of heroism and bravery. Thank you for keeping our flag high, and our spirits higher. This beautiful nation will remain the land of the free so long as it is the home of the brave.
