🚨 URGENT RESCUE + FOSTER PLEA 🚨
6 Bottle Babies Need Help Today ❤️🐾
Our team has been pouring our hearts into caring for six tiny bottle baby puppies who were brought to us in a box... fragile, and fighting for their chance at life. We’ve posted about them and have been in touch with our amazing rescue partners, but today we’re turning to our community for help.
These babies have become incredibly special to us. Many of our dedicated team members have taken them home, fed them through the night, kept them warm, and watched them grow stronger each day... We have truly reached the point where they need more than what we can give them.
We are urgently seeking:
💛 A rescue partner willing to take them in
💛 Experienced bottle baby fosters who understand the commitment and care these little ones require
Bottle babies need structure, time, and someone who can fully dedicate themselves to their feedings and comfort. We know this is a big ask and we don’t take it lightly. These puppies deserve every chance at the great life we know they can have and we hope by reaching out and posting them here, we can find placement for them.
If you or someone you know has the experience, time, and heart to open your home to even one of these babies, please reach out here of via email to [email protected]. Don't forget, sharing this post helps too!!! It truly can save lives.
✨ Let’s get these little ones into the loving hands they deserve.
Thank you for helping us fight for them. ❤️🐶

🐱 Kitten in the Engine, Now Safe and Sound! 🐱🚗
Yesterday, a concerned citizen came to the shelter with an unusual worry , they believed a kitten had somehow made its way into their vehicle’s engine. The day before, they had seen a tiny kitten run into the road and feared the worst… but thankfully, the little one had taken shelter inside the car instead.
Hoping the kitten would come out on its own, they waited, but the persistent meowing told them it still needed help. That’s when they came to us.
Officer De La Rosa responded right away, and with help from our Field Operations Manager, the team carefully searched the engine compartment and safely rescued the kitten. 💛
The little one was a bit dirty (as you’ll see!), so we gave a quick bath and lots of gentle care. Next stop: a full check-up with our veterinary clinic team.
We’ll share an update soon about when this brave kitten may be available for adoption. For now, let this be a reminder that cats , especially kittens , sometimes seek warmth inside car engines. Please take a moment to tap your hood or check around your vehicle if you’ve heard meowing or if temperatures drop.
And remember , we’re always here to help. 💛🐾

Cat Model Status ... 😻
Mandy is absolutely beautiful! We have a shelter FULL of cats and kittens looking for their forever homes. We are completely out of kennel space for them. Plus, don't forget, when you adopt a shelter pet, it's a ripple effect. You are adopting a new best friend, while also giving that kennel space to at least one more pet in need!
*We are working hard to get updated pictures and profiles of our pets. We encourage you to come to the shelter to view and meet our adoptable pets in person. You can also talk with any AAS team member who can provide additional information to you.

We often talk about how many adoptions or how many intakes we have in a day.....
But today we want to celebrate something different, and more unique.. today 13 pets were reunited with their owners!!! This was a FANTASTIC number for just one day!!! Truly, reunions like this are just as important as adoptions. We are able to free up kennel space for another pet in need!
Tonight we are celebrating these reunions and all of the responsible pet owners out there!
Our featured pet, Ginger is still waiting on her forever home. She is one of our longest resident shelter dogs and we remain dedicated and hopeful a forever family will happen for her, just like it did for her puppies.
Ginger has been with us for so long, she is now more comfortable inside the walls of the shelter, than out. When selected to go for a dogggie day out, she is a little more anxious and afraid. We have no idea what her life looked like before she came to us...maybe inside the shelter, it is the only consistent and loving life she has ever had.... Ginger needs someone who will give her a chance. Someone who will show her life is the best in a home.... not on the streets as a lost dog, and not in a shelter.

ADOPTION PROCESS
While the services we provide are for Arlington residents, The Arlington Animal Services Center (ASC) adoption program is open to anyone wishing to adopt a pet. The adoption process is simple.
- Visit the Animal Services Center located at 1000 SE Green Oaks Blvd. Arlington, TX or view available animals online at www.arlingtontx.gov/adoptablepets. Adoption of animals is on a first come, first serve basis.
Individuals must be at least 18 years of age to adopt and to meet with adoptable pets.
Each family is allowed to meet with two pets per day. We recommend visiting the online website to view animals available for adoption, and to help learn more about our pets and narrow down your selections prior to coming to the shelter.
The adoption fee is $100 for a dog and $90 for a cat. All adoptions include core vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, FIV/FELV testing for cats, heartworm testing for dogs, a microchip and more.
VIP Pets can be adopted for $25! A pet can be made VIP for reasons that include the following: time in shelter, available space in shelter, senior pet over 8 years of age, heartworm positive dogs, FIV positive cats, behavior and/or special needs of the animal, or at the discretion of the kennel supervisor or shelter manager.
A valid, government issued ID is required at the time of adoption.
