This beautiful cat is lost and would love for his people to come so he can go home. He was brought to Arlington Animal Services this morning by a kind citizen who found him on E Debbie lane. Does anyone recognize him? By his appearance and gentle nature, we don't believe he has been out on his own long.

As we do with all of our lost pets, this cat is currently serving his lost pet hold as we work to find his owners. If he is not reclaimed at the end of his stray hold, he will be evaluated for our adoption or rescue partner program. Don't forget, all lost pets currently at Arlington Animal Service can be viewed here: https://www.arlingtontx.gov/City-Services/Animals-Pets/Lost-and-Found-Pets

***Proof of ownership is required.

It's time to meet our Pet of the Week!!

She's our LONGEST resident shelter pet and a staff favorite... Meet Cheyenne

This eleven months old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is black, tan and white in color and weighs 41 pounds. Selected by our staff to be featured, this sweet girl has been waiting in the shelter for almost two months for a new "furever" home and we can’t figure out why. She’s young, happy, and full of playful energy that makes her a joy to be around. She loves toys, chasing after them with pure excitement. Her silly personality makes us laugh out loud every time we take her to the play yard. Cheyenne's kennel sits right next to the adoption room, where she watches other dogs meet their families and head home. We can tell she’s just waiting for her turn. Sadly, we think she may be getting overlooked simply because she’s a darker-colored dog, but trust us—her personality shines bright. She’s beautiful inside and out and would bring so much joy, fun, and laughter to her forever family. Considered a VIP due to the length of time she has spent in the shelter, Cheyenne is ready and waiting to be your new furry friend. Come adopt during the "Clear the Shelter" event going on now while adoption fees are only $5.00! Meet Cheyenne in Dog Adoptions (DA) 9 and her ID number is A58767905.

Already have a furry friend at home? We’d love for you to bring them along for an official meet-and-greet so we can help set everyone up for a happy and successful future together!
