**S🅰️LE PENDING**
🌪"Beth" is a 15 h.h. 2020 Appendix Mare, started on the pattern and looking for a partner to bring her to success. Although she could truly go in any direction, this handsome young mare is bred for speed, with track lines on top by Packn & bottom; out of a Streakin La Jolla mare.
Beth is currently loping the pattern (video in comments) & entering exhibitions at local jackpots. She has been started right, from the ground up & has 60 days of riding. We took this mare on in 2022 from the breeder, & what some may consider a "late start", we started under saddle at 4. Aimee is not a futurity trainer, & had no reason whatsoever to back her before she finished growing. We believe a slow & gradual start builds confidence & a truly solid foundation to last years to come. Starting with halter breaking, we spent a significant amount of time completing much needed ground work before moving to under saddle. Beth is green, & in order to continue building self confidence, demands a skilled rider...she is NOT for beginners or kids. She has come too far to go backwards, and we will be very selevtive about who brings her home. She is not on sale, offered where we have it set not for her "potential" or what we've put into her, but for what she IS:
SOLID - Strong bone & body
KIND - not a mean bone in her body
SMART - picks up a maneuver in the first session & takes it with her forever.
RESPONSIVE - very in tune to seat & leg
STARTED RIGHT - there are no holes in her training.
Beth has shown in halter, worked in clinics, hauled to weekend shows, exhibitioned at jackpots, loves obstacles & any food. An easy keeper, she is barefoot and completely sound. This mare stands at the bottom of the herd, knows how to stay out of the way, & therefore can turn out with mares or geldings. She also does fine alone in the barn in a stall. She is not herdbound in any way. Keep food in front of her & she's happy, but will stand quietly alone for hours, until someone arrives to give her attention. Shes the first one to call out at feed time. Bethy is keen on a longe line or long line, and also does very well in halter. She has impeccable ground manners. Ties, bathes, stands for professionals, loads & unloads with ease; she enjoys road trips. NO VICES WHATSOEVER.
Beth is going to be a push-style barrel horse. She picks up her leads with ease, & has no issue transitioning into the lope. Beth is developing nice lateral movement, & can perform roll backs, turn on her haunches L or R, neck reining & gaining new tools for her toolbox with every ride. Bethy does not need to be longed before a ride & can sit for weeks or months and pick right up where she left off.
With Aimee being her sole rider since day 1, we do believe she would do best with 1 owner/rider. Her perfect person will have nothing but time to put into her, and take her into a variety of situations. Beth would do very well in an open western show, and would do well to hit the trails on a regular basis as well. She enjoys obstacles and there is no reason she shouldn't go play with cows. She has lived with beefers & has nothing against them. She doesn't love dogs. She's not afraid of them, but she will pin her ears at ours & given the opportunity, will longe at them. A little dressage here & there would do her justice as well. She deserves a partner that is just as veratile in their equestrian endeavors as she is!!
Our whole family adores this mare, but we can't keep them all. She wears too many hats at this stage to stay here. She has been a personal project we took on to keep for Scout & Aimee, but our goals take us in different directions, & Beth needs the right fit. We are just not it.
Does come with a brand new 15" Circle Y Martha Josey Ultimate Cash Barrel saddle (shown), or priced lower without.
Beth is located in Argyle, NY at Sugar Hill Ranch, & is available to come try at your convenience. Videos available upon request. PPE welcomed at buyers expense. Again, no beginners or youth, we're seeking an experienced rider with references in training and herdsmanship/care. If you are considering applying for this role, please send a DM or text. I WILL NOT RESPOND TO COMMENTS HERE.
🙏 THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
