Hey Everyone! It’s been a total of 6 dreadful weeks since our big boy Rubis has been up on all four of his feet walking! 42 days which equals out to be 126 times we have took the tractor 🚜 out & lifted him. No matter if it was raining, nice or hot as hell, we did it! Sometimes we wanted to knock each other out, but I don’t honestly think people realize what a commitment it truly is taking care of a 1500+ lb animal! Lifting him was just the start & end of the day. Needing to make sure he had fresh water, hay & grain throughout the entire day! When he was up, washing every sore he had, then putting specific treatment on it! When it got real rough we had to make sure he was boxed in so he didn’t get stuck on his side. Give his medicine by a specific protocol! Bend his legs for him because he couldn’t physically do it! 😢 But I’m here to tell you as of TODAY 8/7/25 we are no longer lifting Rubis! He is getting up on his OWN & starting to walk! By the grace of God & Faith & lots of help! Dr. Wilson, Dr. Ruel, Dr. Morrow & Elizabeth our boy is coming around!! Miracles do happen!! ❤️🙏🫶🏻 Enjoy a bunch of pictures good & bad over the course!!
