🎆 Keep Your Pets Safe This 4th of July! 🐾🐶🐱

Fireworks and celebrations can be stressful and even dangerous for pets. From loud noises to outdoor escapades, it’s important to plan ahead to keep your furry friends safe and calm. Here are 4 essential pet safety tips from Main Line Urgent Vet:

1️⃣ Create a Safe Zone 🏠: Secure doors and windows, and cover windows with curtains or blankets to prevent escapes.
2️⃣ Drown Out Noise & Try Calming Aids 🎧💊: Fireworks can be stressful, mask the noise with a TV, radio, or sound machine. Calming supplements may help, but always check with your family veterinarian. Need last-minute help with noise aversion? We’re here for you!
3️⃣ Distraction 🍖🧩: Keep dogs busy with food puzzles like frozen Kongs or tasty treats. If giving a bone, make sure it’s pet-safe and supervise while they enjoy it.
4️⃣ ID’s Please! 🏷️💖: Outdoor time increases the risk of pets wandering. Make sure your pet has a collar with an ID tag and a registered microchip (ideally both).

Our team is here for your pets every day leading up to the 4th of July, but we will be closed on July 4th and will reopen Sunday, July 5th for all your emergency pet care needs.
