I’ve always loved the Veterinary profession, especially the large animal portion of it. Being welcomed into people’s farms, and in many instances their homes while we are either working on their animals or discussing what we need to do to help their animals is a genuine honor. I made a recent trip with two of my younger technicians to an equine operation near Vinita , Oklahoma. I’ve spent hours there over the years working in the barn, and eating dinners in their home with this family. In this instance the conversation about horses, and the horse industry turned to bible prophecy and scripture, a subject that I enjoy immensely! What a true pleasure it was to sit over an incredible home cooked meal and talk to their 17 year old son about biblical stories. I really didn’t want the night to end, The entire family was very conversant on the bible but both of their sons were especially well versed. What a pleasure, and what an absolute treasure of an evening spent with good people . Just another reason to love equine medicine.
