The last goats left SFS today for their new home with . There are no more animals here, except for the generations of wild ducks that will continue to inhabit the ponds around the neighborhood and the wildlife, which will continue to thrive out here. It’s empty.
I don’t have words. I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, tears in my eyes, a whole lot of gratitude for all of you, and hope in my heart. I’m still in the process of moving, distributing all of the nonprofit’s assets to the rescues who took in SFS animals, dissolving the nonprofit, and selling the farm. It’s a lot of work. I’ll be shutting down the donation platforms as soon as I have some time. Anything else that comes in will go to and - and I encourage you to support them in order to continue your care for the SFS babies.
I just want to thank you all. The last six years have been the most difficult ones of my life, but I have had so many opportunities to learn, love, and grow. I met so many beautiful people, lots of whom will be my lifelong friends and chosen family. I just can’t express the feelings properly and I hope you all understand. If I could have kept going, I would have forever. I’m sorry my body didn’t hold up to the demands.
I hope to see you all around St. Pete. Please say hi and let’s go get brunch . I love you, I love you.
