This Summer has proven to be challenging across the United States for hoof rot in cattle.

True hoof rot has open sore between claws and swelling above both. It is a bacteria which lives in dark, moist areas, such as mud.

Prevention would be using nosodes. These are something we carry, but prefer to speak directly with customer for proper usage. My cell is 608-797-0550. Also a good mineral program with the Sea 90 Sea Salt and we use Kelp, vitamin ADE and recommend mineral specific for your region.

Natural treatment:

Dr Paul’s CEG tincture orally
Dr. Pauls wound powder or iodine or copper sulfate solution.
Dr. Sarah’s Savvy Udder Salve applied to swollen region above hoof

With the smoke and heat that many regions have been experiencing across the United StatesI have a toolbox that I keep filled and ready. Apple c***r vinegar with the mother - Dr. Paul’s labs does carry this product but wherever you can get it, the fastest. Also Aloe liquid or Aloe pellets. Cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, horses all could be given products listed - to enhance immune support. Humates like Reeds Hedge peat. Feel free to reach out for further information. 608-797-0550 and also encourage people to check out Doc Tom Roskos website. There’s many written articles I’ve already published and you can find which animal you have and suggested treatment options that we use on our farm or over the years in our veterinary practice.

Modern Homestead Expo in Coeur d’Alene Idaho! We met so many great clients, customers and new friends in Idaho. We are happy to announce that a continued reliable source for purchasing products that we use on our own farms, and on veterinary route can be found by contacting Darla Fletcher! She has been a client of ours and offers a very professional, well-maintained place of pick up. Darla has a wonderful Ranch hand and husband Thomas, who are equally enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Their farm is a living testimony of what great caretaking and high-quality natural and organic veterinary products can do to enhance the overall well-being of animals, soils and quality of life for humans and animals.
