Said it before, will say it again… our extension agent is better than yours! Way to go Kristen Wilson Roberson!!!!

Marshall County Extension Director Kristen Roberson received the National Association of County Agriculture Agents 2025 Distinguished Service Award in Billings, Montana.

The DSA award is a prestigious award bestowed upon just 2% of Extension Agents in the Country.
Voted on by peers, individuals receiving this designation have made a significant impact in their county or region for more than 10 years as it relates to work in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry & Natural Resources, 4-H Youth Development or Community Development.

Kristen has served many roles during her 18-year Extension Career and is currently serving as Marshall County Director. She has successfully resurrected the largest youth animal science program in the State. A pair of 4-H Volunteers instilled in her a love for Agriculture as a teenager. She strives to do the same for the youth & families she serves, and has a tremendous passion for being an advocate for local farmers and producers.

2 days!!! 2 calves!!! Our bull busted into the pasture with the cows. I watched him bred these two in like 15 minutes!
Beautiful little heifer calf! She hasn’t even walked yet.

Meet “Bo” as Luuk named him. He was born today. Our bull got in with the cows and bred her. We are trying hard to have a calving season and this throws us off a little bit, but blessed to have another calf on the ground.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗔𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗔𝗦 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿

𝑲𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝑹𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏

Kristen began her Extension career as an agent assistant in Colbert County in August of 2006. Since that time, she has served as agent assistant for 4-H in Marshall County, 9 years as Regional Extension Agent for 4-H covering Marshall and Dekalb, and since 2020 as Coordinator/Director for Marshall County. As a 4-H’er in her teens, a love of agriculture was instilled in her by two 4-H volunteers. Kristen resurrected one of the largest youth livestock programs in the state as a 4-H Regional Agent and strives to inspire the young people she works with. She has tremendous passion in being an advocate for local farmers and producers in Marshall County.
