What is this hot new product in our salon? It's a Chubbs Bars pet shampoo bar!

Emergencies can happen at any moment. Are you prepared?

Having a plan ahead of time takes the thinking out of an emergency situation; a step by step plan is already laid out for you, so you can just ACT!

Because of this, Roxie and I are currently hanging out in the basement with water, some snacks, and calming music (for both of us 😅).

Rocket has a tendency to orbit around the table while getting groomed, so for his safety, we contact Huston and schedule lift-off.

Hammocks are one of the tools we utilize to keep grooming safe and comfortable. This allows us to safely handle pet's legs and feet, without them wandering away. It is also great for senior pets, as it can alleviate pressure on joints and make it more comfortable for them while we work.

🎨Trust the Process🖌

A couple weeks ago we went to visit our friends at The Meditative Groomer Academy to learn more about the world of model dog grooming! It's very popular in South Korea and is both what students learn on and what professional groomers compete with. We tried our hand at it and it was definitely a skill we need to practice.

We had family visit to tour the salon and we took the opportunity to show our niece how fun dog grooming can be! 🖍 We used OPAWZ paint pens to add some color to this blank canvas!

🧼GRWM: Pet Groomer Edition✂️

Cleanliness is next to dogliness!...or however that saying goes.

Sanitation, disinfection, and well maintained equipment is a MUST in our salon. These things prevent spread of disease, minimize risk of injury, and keep the salon smelling great!

Between every appointment we clean all of the equipment that a pet has come in contact with: the tables, the tub, and all of our tools! It is a time consuming process, but is well worth it.

We had our first cat day yesterday afternoon! With a slightly lighter schedule, we were able to solidify a grooming procedure that works best for our space and for our feline friends.
