Male vs. Female
Does a male or a female make a better pet for you and your family?
It’s not uncommon for people to believe that a female dog will make a better pet. We get a lot of calls for people wanting that “special little girl”. For whatever reason they don’t think that females will exhibit “alpha” behaviors like hu***ng and/or marking. A lot of people think that females are more passive and friendly and that they don’t take part in fighting over dominance, which could NOT be farther from the truth. If you check out the structure of dog packs, the females determine the pecking order and rule the roost. The result of that behavior is that the females become more stubborn, independent, and territorial than the males. These females are much more intent on exercising their control by participating in that “alpha” behavior like hu***ng. Most fighting will usually break out between two females.
Males tend to be more affectionate, exuberant, attentive, and even more demanding of attention. The males are very attached to their owners, tending to be more dedicated, reliable and less temperamental. They are more sociable, more accepting of other pets, playful for years, and take quicker to children. Most boys are easily motivated by treats/food, words of praise and are so eager to please that training actually becomes easier. Their playful nature, however, can make males more easily distracted. The boys are more likely to act silly and more puppy-like, always wanting to play games, no matter what their age. The boys are fun-loving until the day they die, whereas girls tend to be more standoffish and dignified the older they get.
Neutered males rarely exhibit secondary s*xual behavior such as marking and lifting their legs or hu***ng. Once the testosterone levels recede after neutering, most of these behaviors will disappear if they ever existed.
So before making your decision on that age old dilemma of male versus female, hopefully this will give you some helpful info to think about.

You will never have to go to the bathroom alone ever again.

I will lick your face right after I eat the head off the rabbit I just killed in the yard.

I will sleep next to you when you are sick and heal you with my love.

And Junebug, who had 7 sweet babies last time 😳, is ready for her next litter. They both had dates with our boy Mater this week so we are EXPECTING long haired CKC babies MID JUNE! 😍

📍THIS IS CONSIDERED YOUR CONTRACT WHEN PURCHASING FROM US📍

🐾 We safely raise CKC registered miniature dachshunds. We have a variety of colors available at different times. Coat length is mostly long hair, but on occasion we have short haired babies. ❤ Our babies come pre-spoiled and loved so they can live confidently in their new homes! 🐾

Here is some information about our adoption process:
📍If you are interested in a puppy and wish to purchase, a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $100 must be made via Venmo or Paypal to hold the puppy, and the rest is due at pick up in cash. This deposit is deducted from the total price of the puppy. If deposit isn’t made within the first 24 hours, I will move on to the next interested family. *

📍I do not do a wait list. If you are interested in future litters or specifics, please check our page periodically for upcoming litters.

‼️All puppies will go home at 8-12 weeks of age, and must be picked up within 7 days of pick up date unless otherwise agreed upon. If not, I have the right to move on to another adopter, and therefore you will FORFEIT your deposit, because it is NON-REFUNDABLE! It is your responsibility to come pick up your new puppy once they are ready for new homes! ‼️

🎯I do not travel over an hour to deliver puppies. If it will be an hour drive, a $50 delivery charge must be made and this has to be agreed upon beforehand. If agreed upon in advance, and over 1 hour, delivery fees start at $100. 🎯

🎈Upon pickup of puppy the remaining balance is due immediately and must be made in CASH* *Unless you are paying out, then we can do Venmo or Cashapp, but remaining balance must be paid in full before pickup. ‼️ please do not put anything EXCEPT that Pups name in notes! ‼️ IF you are going to send THROUGH VENMO PLEASE PLACE 2% more with the deposit, as these apps are now taking two percent out when they see it’s for something “sold”. 🎈

🦴ALL PUPPIES COME WITH THE FOLLOWING: 🦴
blanket, sample of food, paperwork for vet checkup/clearance at 6 weeks, paperwork for first set of vaccines and start of flea and heartworm prevention, dates of deworming, all paperwork stating what each puppy has received, and registration paperwork.

💲💲 Our price is typically $1000 across the board, regardless of s*x, color or coat type. If a price on a puppy is different for ANY reason, it will be listed on the post!! (rare colors will be higher) 💲💲

🦴We do offer stud services. Depending on female we may want PICK of the litter (Pick of litter will always be FIRST PICK female) Please pm us if interested. Stud prices are $300-$500. You bring female to me. 🐶

❤️Please remember these babies are our family. They all enjoy our kids and other animals as they get older, and the puppies grow up inside our home ❤️ I have every right to NOT let you adopt one of my babies. I will not be threatened, talked to disrespectfully or BRIBED to receive a puppy from me. ‼️
