I have 4 German Shepherds. Notorious shedders...our home is like a Barber Shop. Hair Hair Hair everywhere. I brush and rake them several times a week, leaving their undercoat out in the backyard or in our hedges. I do this for nest building wildlife. I'm telling you... the birds near our home have the nicest nests in the County. Twigs, leaves and lots of warm fur.
