Meet Axle – our 8-year-old teddy bear with a heart of gold! 🐾
Axle came to PRC from one of our shelter partners for a change of scenery, and he’s already melting hearts everywhere he goes. 💕

During a recent adventure day, Axle showed off just how wonderful he is in a home:
✨ Housebroken and lets you know when he needs to go out
✨ Polite in the car and on walks
✨ Knows “sit” and “shake”
✨ Gentle, affectionate, and oh-so cuddly

This sweet senior boy is social in playgroups, calm during bath time, and has the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly charm. He’s ready to bring love, laughs, and maybe a few soggy paw prints to his forever family. 🐕💦

UPDATE ⚠️ Due to feline panleukopenia, HSTB will be pausing the intake of STRAY KITTENS UNDER 4 MONTHS until further notice. If you find kittens under 4 months and can care for them in the meantime, please come to HSTB Intake for supplies. Or, take them to the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center. We wanted to give an update on how happy we are that Michelle Carla Sanchez Diaz was arrested for animal cruelty (and child neglect) on August 30th. She is currently incarcerated, and we hope that is the case for a very long time. We are grateful to Hillsborough County Animal Control and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office for their leadership and determination in bringing justice for Blessing and her pups. We are also thankful to all of our supporters for lending your voices to those who cannot advocate for themselves. Together, we can make a difference and create a more humane Tampa Bay for everyone ❤
