BY THE NUMBERS!

I thought it might be interesting to look at some statistics from the recent IQHA Ranch Horse Futurity. Total entries from the yearlings through the maturity classes were 486. There were 106 yearling entries, 135 two year old entries, 108 three year old entries, 97 four year old entries, and 32 entries in the maturity classes. There were 8 entries in the Get of Sire class to reach the total of 486.

Out of these 486 entries, 77 different horses won a check. Of these 77 check winners, 33 different stallions were the sires of the check winners.

The total payout for the show was $125,979.58. This is the cash payout, when the value of the prizes is added in, the total jumps to $198,000!

If those numbers sound intriguing to you, make plans to join us in 2025. It’s time to start making your breeding plans, or time to be on the lookout for your next prospect, and it’s time to be looking for your trainer of choice if you’re wanting outside help. If your favorite stallion isn’t enrolled, now’s the time to be discussing these numbers with them and get them to enroll their horse.

This year’s futurity was definitely a success, we are already making plans for next year! Make plans to come join us!
