Hey Randy! I hope you are ready for a really big photo dump showing what Owain has been up to the past few months - he’s been doing so well and I really couldn’t pick which photos to send. (Sorry!)
Since the last update, Owain has done so many new things. He went hiking, he tried some new treats, his crate was upgraded with a blanket, he met the Easter bunny, and he started to go to daycare once a week with his adopted brother/our other dog Llew, where he’s made some new friends.
Owain and Llew truly are best buds - they wrestle, chase each other, and play tug all the time. Owain is Llew’s little shadow, and after mealtimes (when the dogs are separated) Llew will sometimes demand that Owain be let out of the playpen so that they can play.
Owain has very strong herding instincts - he’s less interested in fetch, and more interested in herding Llew. He’s also mastered the classic corgi side-eye, which is particularly potent when he’s stolen a forbidden item (i.e., socks - his favorite thing to steal and hide).
Owain is very smart - he has perfected the art of rage baiting/tricking Llew so that he can either steal whichever toy Llew is playing with and/or convince Llew to play chase/wrestle/tug.
Owain is a very cuddly dog and he loves burrowing in blankets. The first night he got a blanket in his crate, he was so excited. He rolled around and buried himself underneath it, which is where stayed all night. Now, he has stashed quite a few bones and his favorite soft toys (and sometimes I’ll find our “missing” socks!) in the crate/blanket.
Thank you so much Randy! We really love Owain. He’s getting neutered tomorrow so I thought it was about the right time for an update.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
