rescue groups that pull dogs from high kill shelters typically a day or two before its put on the "kill list". Most of out rescues come from shelters with the worst reputation such as OC Animal Care in Santa Ana, Downey Shelter, and San Bernardino shelter. A foster home is always needed immediately and that is where we come in. We give the rescue dogs a place to decompress after b

eing in a highly stressful environment. We teach important socializing skills and introduce each dog (when ready) into our home pack. We understand that extra patience, attention and LOVE is required to gain trust from each of the animals. When ready, we introduce dogs to potential adoptive homes. We do a home check making sure the house and yard is suitable and safe. Making sure the family is capable of taking on a new family member for the "long haul". Some rescue dogs are with us for days, weeks, years or if not able to make the transition into a home, we keep them and care for them until their dying day.. It all depends on each unique animal and what they need. Some dogs are adoptable w/in a short time, others need a lot of one on one work. Thankfully the rescue groups pay for vet visits but everything else is out of our pocket..and so donations are GREATLY appreciated and needed.
