Caring Paws

This past week, six 2-3 week old puppies were brought to the Forest County Humane Society by a loving soul who found them left to die on the side of the road in a banana box. The puppies were severely dehydrated, but the staff at FCHS has been phenomenal to them and they are doing much better. FCHS will be caring for these puppies for the upcoming weeks until they are ready for adoption. I knew what I had to do. Today, Caring Paws donated $7,114.22 to Forest County Humane Society towards these puppies.

You may be thinking, “wait, did I miss a fundraiser? Where did this money come from?”

This donation was made possible by the generous souls that have donated to Caring Paws over the years. From all of the raffles, the auctions, the donation bins and more, we had this money for the puppies, ready at such short notice.

This balance, however, is the entirety of Caring Paws’ funds. This donation is the final one I will be completing as Caring Paws. This organization has been an integral part of my life and will forever hold influence in the things I do. I will continue to help the community in various ways, but it’s time for me to close this chapter of my life. I hope that it has served as inspiration for at least one person out there to treat the creatures of this earth with compassion.

I would like to thank you all once again for your support over the years and for making this little girl’s childhood dreams come true.

Congratulations to all of the winners from our fundraiser! It was a huge success and we are so proud to have been supported by such a great group. Personally, I want to thank all of the volunteers from Langlade County Humane Society for helping to sell tickets. I and the animals thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

It's been just over a year since COVID first began to isolate us all from each other. While many things, including our traditional fundraising methods, were temporarily halted due to the coronavirus, unnecessary abuse towards animals has not stopped. As our world slowly begins to reopen, I think it's time we relaunch our efforts to help animals across Wisconsin.

As a result, we're teaming up with Langlade County Humane Society this summer to raise money for both their organization and ours. At the AMSOIL Off-Road Championship Races, sponsored by Antigo Lions Club, this June 5 & 6, we're selling tickets and giving away TWO 2021 Honda CRF-50 dirtbikes (one for first place and one for second). Additionally, we're offering cash prizes to the 3-8th place winners!

Tickets are $5 each and are currently ON SALE at Verne's of Antigo! In addition, feel free to message us for information on how to purchase tickets from others!

The drawing is on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 6:00 P.M. at the Langlade County Fairgrounds, but you don't need to be present to win!

Let's help some animals and make this fundraiser a strong comeback!

Due to the unfortunate nature of the current times, the Paws and Claws Raffle was not as big of a success as we had hoped for to help Langlade County Humane Society. However, I’d like to thank all who continued to support our organization through these difficult times. I am still proud to say that we will be presenting a check to a representative of LCHS for $3,185 to use for the care of the animals. After COVID-19 is said and done, we can’t wait to help the animals once more!

Caring Paws, along with the help of the generous public, was able to donate $790 to help with Jessi’s eye issue. She is now doing wonderful and I’d like to thank everyone who made this possible by sharing and donating!

We are proud to announce that tickets for our Paws and Claws fundraiser are now available at CoVantage Credit Union! They have graciously put tickets at both Antigo’s main branch AND at the Antigo Northside Branch! Tickets are 1 for $5 or 3 for $10! The grand prize is a brand new 2020 Honda CRF50 dirt bike, followed by a new Honda EU2200 generator and cash prizes! Need not be present to win. Tickets will be available though April 30, as the drawing is on May 5, 2020, at Luigi's Pizza and Pasta of Antigo! Thank you all very much for your support 💕
