My Mission
“Bringing the joy of horses to everyone.”
I have spent my entire life around horses, I started riding before I could walk. Over more than two decades in the sport, I have competed in the hunters, jumpers, and equitation up to the Grand Prixs, National Hunter Derbys and major equitation finals; managed programs with 30 or more horses and 15-plus clients; worked directly for an FEI top
-50 international rider; and developed young riders from their guided walks on a lunge line to winning at World Equestrian Center Ocala. That range of experience, the elite competitive side of the sport, the business and sales side, and the day-to-day work of teaching a beginner is what shapes Ashby Equestrian's mission. I believe riders shouldn't have to compete at the Grand Prix level to deserve excellent instruction, and that what makes horses special isn't the ribbons; its the relationship that develops over time. It's learning to understand each other, figuring things out together, and discovering how much you can accomplish as a team. It's watching a young horse develop, watching a rider gain confidence, and seeing both horse and rider become better because of the partnership they've built. Ashby Equestrian exists to give riders and horse owners at every level, from a first lesson to a national final, thoughtful training, sound horsemanship, and a program that meets them where they are.
