Hi👋 all. A very Happy fur Momma here🥰 So just wanted to answer the million dollar question, that many of you have about Bailey and what was going on with her. I'll put it here, so I don't have to repeat myself in the individual comments or messages.
So the main culprit was sand granules that she digested. This is what was found all through her digestive system and into her already, very sensitive stomach. So much of it ,that it began shutting her down.
I did see her digging in a sandy area the other morning , like she was after somthing but didn't see anything.
Well apparently she was after, buried turtle egg shells that normally, are well hatched months ago but we are not positive, if it was shells or a rotten one, or two.
She may actually have gotten away with that but the amount of sand she ingested getting to them, is what took over her digestive track and shut her down . This caused her to drink excessively and vomit repeadly.
She became severely dehydrated in a few short hours . This then elevated red blood cells and they doubled what they should have been. Kidneys ,liver, all organs were put on alert. Luckily kidneys and liver were unharmed. When we were 8 miles from clinc I honestly thought we were losing her and would have because she was unable to breathe and was put in an oxygen capsule immediately.
Many stressful, unrestful hours to place, til she finally took a turn for the good.

I , could never say enough good about the staff and docs at the Eastern Maine Brewer Emergency clinic.
The doctors calling me, the staff reaching out ,making us feel very comfortable to ask any questions or call anytime. They were just out standing! It was heart wrenching to leave her but she was definitely in good hands. Again ,Thank you all , for praying and sending the well wishes, the phone calls , all that was done for our girl , during this crucial time, it is so very appreciated ❣️
She is resting. She ate some and drank when we got home and she is resting comfortably on her bed with her baby moose toy.
