We are proud to announce that Pensacola Humane Society has once again received the Best Friends No-Kill Shelter designation, a recognition reflective of our incredible 98.7% save rate for 2025. This achievement is well above the 90% save rate required to earn no-kill status and represents the lifesaving work happening here every single day.

Receiving this designation does not come easily. It is only possible because of the dedication of our staff, volunteers, fosters, adopters, rescue partners, and supporters who believe every healthy and treatable pet deserves a chance at life and love.

Together, we are creating a brighter future for homeless pets across our community, and we could not do it without you. Thank you for standing beside us and helping continue this lifesaving mission. 🐶🐱

Alright, we’ve got a slightly ridiculous (but very real) request…

We need spray cheese and peanut butter.
A LOT of it.

Not for us (promise)… for our dog patients.

These two things are basically magic in a can/jar:
• Instant distraction during vaccines and procedures
• Turns “uh oh” moments into “oh hey, this isn’t so bad”
• Helps us keep visits Fear Free and way less stressful

If you’ve ever seen a dog laser-focused on peanut butter while we get things done… you already know how powerful this stuff is.

So we’re stocking up, and we’d love your help.

What we need:
• Spray cheese
• Peanut butter (no xylitol)
