So many big guys are boarding today and we are making the most of an overcast winter day with some place practice. Such different personalities, breeds, and histories, but it’s their level of training that brings them all together (literally in this photo!). We love them all - even if it looks like they are planning to rob a bank later…

Paula takes the most amazing photos! Couldn’t help but share this good one of Winston and Mocha from today…they have become the best of friends this week! Winston is very balanced socially and knows his obedience well, so he’s the perfect guy to show 6-month old Mocha the ropes. We love watching the dogs learn from each other.

We saw double last week with 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs in our Board and Train program. Being from different families, we were excited they could overlap! Bear and Sammie had a blast playing in between training sessions. “Berners” usually make great family dogs and can be a good mix of high energy and fun, and then laid back and lazy around the house.

Perfect day and group of boarding dogs to practice going back and forth from play to place. A very high energy group who have mastered the “off” button. Nice work Koko, Dewey, Opus, and Athena!

We had a great pack walk yesterday. The weather was beautiful so the trail was busy with lots of bikers, hikers, and other dogs, but everyone handled it all very well. We also raised almost $500 for Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC! Thanks to everyone who came out to support the rescue and practice walking in such a distracting environment.

This is what we are all about…today Aspen (shepherd) came for daycare to socialize with other dogs. It was the day that her owner and she have been working towards for months. Aspen was very leash reactive towards dogs when she was rescued, which made it difficult for her owners to walk her and hard for her to be near other dogs. Through private lessons and lots of practice, they now enjoy their walks and Aspen has learned how much fun other dogs can be! The best thing about these photos is that one of the dogs she is playing with today was one that she barked and lunged at just a few months ago in a lesson. We are excited to know that Aspen can now live her best life because her owners were so dedicated to the training process.

We had a great Pack Walk at Quiet Waters on Friday. We loved seeing some dogs and owners we haven’t seen for a while! There were dogs from daycare, group classes, the Puppy Program, and the Board and Train Program all together…
