Not one to be left out, Hitch also rounded out her grand championship back in July! And because mom took so long to post, AKC already confirmed it 🤣 Although slow to post, we are so proud of our versatile little pup!

When we first started attending dog shows a handful of years back, neither of us really knew what we were getting into. For a time, we were both content to hide away among the vendor stalls so Millie wouldn't catch a glimpse of us in the crowd and lose her mind. At some point, I caught the bug and found myself in the ring, while David enjoyed his time safely behind the ring gates. That didn't last long.

Next thing he knew, David was packing full suits and fancy shoes, waking up at 6am for 8am ring times, stuffing cold, slimy bait into his pockets, and clutching a show lead hastily thrust into his hand while Millie gleefully barked and wiggled her way through the judge's exam. He wasn't always thrilled, but a good sport about it nevertheless.

We chased Millie's last point for what felt like a lifetime, and that final point came when we least expected it. And who should be at the end of the lead but David? Of course, I had promised him that we would be done once Millie was a Champion, but I suspect in his heart of hearts, David knew that he was far from free.

Fast forward a year and change later, Millie is two majors, three champ defeats, and most of the way to her grand. As a duo, the two have come so far together, and while I know that both of them would rather be playing fetch or really doing literally anything else, I have been so impressed by their willingness to get in the ring together and by how far they have come. We joke at home that Millie is David's dog, but in the ring it really shows. And so of course, David was at the end of the lead when Millie was awarded BOS at our 2025 West Springfield, MA Regional Specialty, wrapping up her Grand Championship.

Congrats, David and Millie! Couldn't be more proud of you two! Thank you both for putting up with my obsession with finishing a title I said we wouldn't even go for. And yes, now you can be done :)

Little baby Hitch got a cute feature from our favorite photographers The McCartneys Dog Photography at the Kentuckiana Cluster of Dog Shows! We look forward to this awesome show and a photo shoot every year! This year we got to take the cutest family photo with Millie (mom), Ryo (dad), Flash, Hitch, and Lyra (previously Beta). Can’t wait to share the awesome shots we got!!

Much to our immense shock but also delight, Hitch qualified for the 2025 AKC Rally National Championship for her performance in rally novice! She was just under a year old when we got those scores! Not sure we’ll be able to attend, but we’re honored to have even been invited, and now we can shoot for a new goal. Congrats to all the other qualifiers!

After many failed attempts, little miss Hitch finally finished her RATS title!! I think this is the funniest of all the barn hunt titles and I chuckle every time. Her best bud also finished his RATO!! 🎉 🐀

Thanks Conquest Canine Club of Stafford VA for teaching the pups what’s what! And thank you SuperPup, LLC for another great trial!

What an amazing 2024 National Specialty! Thank you so much to the organizers and volunteers for making it such an enjoyable event! We are so glad we were able to attend and have fun with everyone :)

Lyra and Elyse had such a successful weekend and we are so proud of them and their teamwork!! ❤️

Lyra had an absolute ball at Farm Day, earning not only her first title, but then five more in ATT, FDC, Trick Dog, CGC and Fetch!! She also got the opportunity to try some herding but decided her mom was much better suited. Work smarter, not harder she says 🤣

The next day, Lyra and Elyse made their big debut in rally, earning second place in Novice A and their first leg towards yet another title!

And finally Tuesday, Lyra gave confo a try, earning her 2nd place in her class in sweeps, and then 2nd place again at the main show. Congratulations to her sister Flash and the crew for her wins in Junior Showmanship and the main show!! And congratulations to all the other winners as well!

We are exhausted after a weekend of fun but can’t wait for next year’s National in Louisville 🐕

✨ CH ✨ Ascent’s Hold On Tight! with Caradoc RATN TKN

At just shy of 11 months and entirely from the bred-by class, this little pup has finished her championship today in New Castle, PA after a fun and exciting weekend of showing and UpDog. Of course, she celebrated with a little round of Throw ‘n Go where she got a new personal best!

Thank you to all the judges who have found Hitch among beautiful entries, and to our friends and family for cheering us on!

Congrats to our friends and co-breeder ! We couldn’t have done it without you!
