For my horsey friends this Anonymously written sentiment is To perfect not to share :

THE DREAM THAT MANY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND:
My horses are my personal dream.
One day when I am very old and when I can not walk anymore, it will be in my heart as a trophy of my memories.
I met people who taught me something and have the same spirit and I met others that I'm glad I forgot.
I got wet,
I felt cold,
And I felt warm;
I was afraid,
I fell,
And I stood up.
I even hurt myself, I have been broken,
But also, I laughed out loud inside.
I spoke a thousand times with myself.
I sang and shouted with joy like a madman,
And yes ... sometimes I cried.
I have seen wonderful places and lived unforgettable experiences.
I climbed on horses that made me feel brave and excited...and then there were ones that terrified me......
I stopped a thousand times to see a landscape.
I spoke with perfect strangers, and I forgot people I see every day.
I went out with my demons inside and returned home with a feeling of absolute peace in my heart.
I always thought how dangerous it is, knowing that the meaning of courage is to advance even feeling fear.
Every time I go out to my horses I think about how wonderful they are.
I stopped talking about it to those who do not understand, and I learned to communicate with other riders.
I have met some amazing people I now call friends because of my horses.
I spent money that I did not have, giving up many things, but all these things are not worth even one special moment with my horse.
They are not a means of transport or a piece of iron with wheels, they are the lost part of my soul and my spirit.
And when someone says to me: "You have to sell the horses and you have to be more sensible", ... I do not answer. I just swing my head and smile.
A horse..... only the person who loves them understands it.
May God bless my friends and all their horses...
And the adventure continues...”

Some people might disagree with me.. but I like my horses to be loved on.

Here me out. Some people don't like working with their babies because they don't want them to be too pushy, too needy, too dull. But I find it leads to your horse being cautious of people and depending on their mind, they might be set back in their training as they have a harder time trusting.
Of course there needs to be a balance. You can't just love on your horse and let them push you or let them rub on you but you still need to interact with them so they can get to use to how us humans communicate, setting up a beneficial partnership.
I tend to sit with my horses and relax where there is no expectations, we just learn to co-exist with each other and we learn how each other work.
If my horse knows me, we can communicate together. They know when I mean business and they know when I'm playing. And I feel like if they know me, they will have more heart for me as well.

Now that things have calmed back down from getting home from our adventure, I'd like to share a few of our highlights!

We won Reserve Champion in the Novice Non-Pro Cutting! With it being Gracie's and mines second time cutting, I was super proud of how she performed!
We placed 6th in the Limited Open Reining as well as 4th in the Limited Ranch Reining,
4th in the Non Pro Boxing,
8th in the Limited Open Green Ranch Riding,
9th in the Non Pro Ranch Reining (marked a 205 but I over spun 🤦‍♀️)
And 10th in the Green Ranch Rail Pleasure.
There were only 2 classes that we didn't place top 10 in the world but with the stress showing at a big show like that i had a few brain farts and a few mess-ups. Overall, im extremely happy with my horse and myself. Now that I know how these types of shows work, I'm excited to win at our next one!

I wanted to give a big shout out to everyone for all of their love and support! Having my friend there to help me calm my head, my friends and family back home rooting me on, and everyone else cheering us on made a huge difference ❤️ and a special shout out to our sponsor at "R" Livestock Connection for believing in me. It was a great experience and I'm excited to put my new knowledge to use!

We've made it to Texas and Grace is settling in nicely! This is going to be a good week
