Say hello 👋 to our VetCat Cone Beam CT scanner! Ours is the only one in the state of Montana so we are excited to offer this as another tool to use in diagnosing and treating many different conditions. The advantage of the CT is that we are getting a three-dimensional image that will help us visualize oral pathology that we may not see in the 2D views that x-rays provide-eliminating any doubt in diagnosis. The VetCat also provides incredible detail and clarity of images. We can use this scanner for anything from finding undetected pathology in a seemingly “general” procedures, draining tracts, oronasal fistulas, facial trauma, dental injuries, fractures, embedded teeth, displaced roots, nasal tumors, oral masses, and many other hidden painful problems, just to name a few. We can also visualize the TMJ (temporomandibular joints) as well as the ear canal and middle ear. Being able to see images in three dimension provides guidance for the best and least invasive treatment options.
We are excited to be able to provide this new level of care to our patients, enabling us to find hidden painful problems. 🎉
