This absolute chaos monster fills his water bowl with moss almost every night. He is a DIGGER and is part barbarian I think and wants literally zero to do with my hands. It's okay because he's beautiful and he's absolutely destroyed his quarantine time. Like crushed it beneath the weight of his willpower to eat quail. I love and hate him.

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our Exotic Medicine Department at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital and Specialty Center, offering expert care for birds, reptiles, and small mammals under the guidance of Dr. Ivana Levy, DVM, our residency-trained avian and exotic companion animal specialist.

About Dr. Levy
Dr. Ivana Levy is excited to join the Ann Arbor community as a residency-trained exotic animal specialist. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois, completed a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University, and a residency in Zoological Medicine with a focus on companion exotics at the University of Wisconsin.

Her clinical interests include preventive and emergency medicine and strengthening the human-animal bond.
Dr. Levy is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care for every patient—scaled, feathered, or furry—and enjoys helping clients ensure long, healthy lives for their unique pets. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring Ann Arbor’s restaurants, parks, and bike trails with her fiancé, Sam, their eclectus parrot, Frank, and doodle, Huckleberry.

Gizmo is an incredible looking Aesculapian, possibly my favorite. He has retained a lot of white speckling into adulthood, making him stand out among my group. He'll be paired up to Verna in the spring.

Have you ever been so shiny that it's hard to photograph you? Mariqueen is like that all the time. Still gorgeous as always, I might try pairing her in the spring.
