We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Kennel Technician to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment for our dogs in training.
Position Summary:
The Kennel Technician plays a vital role in the daily care and well-being of our dogs. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The right candidate will be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments and be committed to cleanliness, safety, and routine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and sanitize kennels, food/water bowls, floors, and equipment
• Feed, water, and monitor dogs according to established schedules and care protocols
• Assist in basic grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
• Observe and report changes in behavior, appetite, or health
• Assist with dog movement, leash handling, and controlled exercise/playtime
• Follow strict protocols for biosecurity and cleanliness
• Maintain accurate logs for cleaning, feeding, and medication (if applicable)
• Support trainers and other staff with various kennel-related duties
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a kennel, animal shelter, vet clinic, or similar setting preferred
• Comfortable working with large and high-energy dogs
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours as needed
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must
• Ability to follow structure, systems, and chain-of-command protocols.
