Connie Schramm is looking for new homes for 2 of her cats. Due to health reasons, she has to move to a much lower elevation. Some of you may know her from Angel's Attic. Her husband passed away in June, and he was amazing at caring for their fur babies. Connie is finding it a little more difficult. She has 4 indoor cats. She plans to take one or two of them with her when she moves, but she needs to find homes for at least these two kitties.

Callie is a 7-year-old spayed female, that was adopted from Stray Hearts, but she is not current on vaccines at this point. She is the lynx point siamese kitty in the pictures below.

Wolf is a 2.5-year-old neutered male. He is current on his rabies vaccine, but we have no record of any other vaccines. He is the fully gray kitty in the pictures below.

We are officially operating fully again. We have been able to do sugeries and anethetic procedures for a few weeks now, but we were still unable to do x-rays. We officially got our digital radiographs back up and running today. We are so thankful for everyone's patience and understanding throughout this whole process, and we are so glad to be fully back.

We moved back into our original location on Friday, December 19th. We are still getting things back in order, so we are still unable to schedule any routine surgeries or radiographs as of yet, but we hope to be able to very soon. We are still continuing to see appointments as normal. We will let you all know when we are back to functioning fully again.

A note regarding the Holiday hours: We will be closing at 12pm on Christmas Eve, December 24th and New Year's Eve December 31st, and of course, we will be closed for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

An update about our veterinary hospital:

So the tiny plastic nut that connects the water supply to the toilet tank cracked and caused all this mayhem...
The walls and subflooring are all dried out and do not need to be replaced. The new floor will start being installed soon - Maybe that means getting started this week! Once the floor is done we should be able to move back in. We are hoping that will be by December 15th.

In the meantime we are doing well seeing animals in the Aspen Gold Plaza! We can't do spays, neuters or teeth cleanings but we can do minor laceration repairs and procedures that can be done with sedation, not full anesthesia. Please call if you have any question whether we may be able to help your pet if it has an injury.

We CAN do bloodwork, diagnose and treat pets, and of course do routine appointments. We'll send an email and start calling people on our surgery wait list as soon as we are back in our hospital space.

We have temporarily moved across the street into the Aspen Gold Plaza next to the laundromat in Angel Fire, and we are resuming our normal office hours. We will be here for the next month, so if you have any appointments scheduled soon or need prescription refills, please come to our temporary location. Please check in at the office when you arrive.

Be advised that we will not be doing surgeries or anesthetic procedures in this temporary location, so if you do have any upcoming surgeries/anesthetic procedures this month, please call or text us to cancel. We will put you on a call list and call you once we know when we can schedule surgeries again.

Thank you all for your understanding as we navigate through these temporary changes.

We had an emergency in our building, a pipe burst and the clinic flooded. We had to move out of our space for remediation. We will not be able to do any surgeries, routine or emergency during this time. We will be very limited on our operations and seeing clients this week and possible next week as well. We will keep you all posted on where we are in our process of getting to operate fully again. If you have an upcoming appointment this week, and it is not urgent, please reschedule if possible. If we have already reached out to you, and you have not responded, please do so. If you have an emergency and need to reach Dr. Gaffney, you can call her cell phone: 575-613-3609. If she does not answer, we strongly suggest seeking veterinary care in Taos, Las Vegas, Raton, Santa Fe or Albuquerque. You can always email us, text or leave us a message on the clinic phone for any non-urgent requests. We will get back with you as soon as we are able.

We appreciate all of you and your understanding while we navigate this difficult situation.

Dr. Gaffney is out of town until Monday, July 28th. We had an issue over the weekend with our phones, so we wanted to post on here in case it happens again.

Dr. Valentine is filling in for Dr. Gaffney on Tuesday, July 22nd and Wednesday, July 23rd and we will be open from 8am to 5:30pm both days. We are always closed on Thursday for normal business hours. Friday, July 25th, we will not have a doctor in the office, but we can see Tech appointments. We will be open from 8am to 4pm. We will not be open on Saturday, July 26th. We will resume normal hours on Monday, July 28th. Please keep in mind we only have a doctor in the office until noon on Monday even though we are open till 5:30PM.
