For our dogs, we offer yard-play and in-hand walks. Our facility is air-conditioned and heated. We also keep a quiet a radio on. Each run on the inside is 4x4 and has an outside run that is 4x10. Each individual dog kennel ha

Our cat room at County Line Kennels has two-story kitty condos for your pet's comfort, and they are boarded in separate rooms than the dogs. County Line Kennels also provides full-service dog and cat grooming for all breeds and sizes. Call ahead for a grooming appointment. County Line Kennels sits on a 5 acre facility in the country. Our kennel is located off of 24, on 200 North between Wabash County and Huntington County. We require all pets to be current on all vaccinations and then we require each client to bring in a copy of their pet's vaccinations. We also do require the Bordetella vaccine for Kennel Cough.

🚨 Heads up, everyone! 🚨

Large boulders have appeared on Route 24 ( at least between Norwoods and County Line Kennels)—no idea if they fell from the sky or just decided to take a road trip, but they're causing flat tires left and right. At least four so far!

Please drive carefully if you're heading that way. Your tires will thank you. 🧡

Plot twist: We meant to celebrate National Dog Mom's Day yesterday, but then life happened (you know how it goes). But here's the thing—celebrating pet moms on actual Mother's Day? That just feels right. 💙
Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas! Tell us: what's your favorite thing about being a pet parent?

🐾 It's day two of both Pet Week AND Be Nice to Animals Week—basically, our two favorite weeks rolled into one! 🎉 (We know, we know—you're nice to animals 52 weeks a year. We see you, and we’re your biggest fans. ⭐👏)

But let's talk about what "nice" really means: 🧐
Here's the thing: every tail wag, every purr, and every goofy zoomie starts with the right foundation. Those early weeks (3-14 weeks for pups, 3-9 weeks for kittens) are CRITICAL for socialization; it's like a 'bravery booster' for young pets. It helps them build that confidence early, so things like doorbells and storms are just part of the background noise later in life. ⚡🏠🌟

And for the animals who didn't get that perfect start? They deserve second chances. 🌈 Programs like Second Chance® Grants (for shelters and rescue organizations) prove that when money doesn't stand in the way, miracles happen. ✨ Abuse survivors become therapy dogs. 🐕‍🦺 Neglected kittens become purring lap warmers. 🐈‍⬛🧡

So this week?
🤗Hug your pet a little longer.
💸Donate to a rescue (especially a local one, like Huntington County Humane Society or Jamie's Legacy )
📖Share a success story.
🛡️Support programs that fund lifesaving care.
😻Or just appreciate that your Beastie thinks you're a total rockstar—even if it’s mostly because you’re the one who knows where the treats are hidden. 🦴🍪

Our furry faves give us everything. Let's give them our best. 💙🧡

Kindness isn't just a nice-to-have quality here—it's how we operate. This week also kicks off Be Kind to Animals Week and Specially Abled Pets Day, and honestly? That's us every single day. ❤️

The three-legged pups, the deaf dogs, the blind cats, the seniors who move a little slower, the furry friends recovering from surgery (like our little Delores here! 💖)—they're not just welcome here. They're celebrated. Different isn't a limitation. It's a strength. We meet every animal right where they are, and we're proud to be their safe place.

Happy National Pet Week! 🐾

We're kicking off this celebration the only way that feels right—by honoring the mutts. The mixed breeds. The "we think he's part Lab?" dogs. The absolute legends.

Today is Mayday for Mutts, and here's the truth: these dogs are walking proof that the best things in life can't be predicted or planned. They're 100% original, 100% themselves, and 100% worth celebrating.

This year's National Pet Week theme—"Happiness is a Healthy Pet"—reminds us that today's focus is Choose Well, Commit For Life. And that commitment? It's everything. These dogs give us their whole hearts. They deserve the same in return.

Check the comments for the AVMA's comprehensive guide to pet ownership—helpful whether you're a longtime pet parent or just starting the journey.
