Heaven Scent K9 Our mission is to enrich the lives of canines & their owners by providing high standards of training, boarding and grooming.

Our business is a collaboration between mother and daughter: Pamela Peas and Jacklyn Brown. Jacklyn has wanted to open her own dog-related facility since her early years in high school. Her passion for training dogs is something that has only grown since she first began training her dog competitively in 2009. She graduated 2 semesters early from Trine University with a Bachelor's degree in managem

ent and became a certified K9 handler in 2018. Pamela grew up in Illinois and was raised on a farm. She taught fifth grade at an elementary school where she would often take her yellow Labrador Bailey to school with her and use him for interactive games with the students. Pam moved to Indiana with her husband Mark and made the decision to stay home and raise their 4 children. She has been active in the Wabash 4-H Dog Club parent committee and has traveled to visit Jacklyn on her K9 jobs. Jacklyn is thankful her mother gave her the opportunity to open a business together to do something they both love.

Looking ahead we will be hiring part-time help as August approaches ‼️ It would be ideal to begin on-the-job training throughout July 🗓️

The position is primarily cleaning and caring for our boarding and daycare dogs 🧽 Since we are working 7 days a week/ 365 days a year, weekends are required.

Pay will be discussed individually based on experience.

Nora is a wire haired fox terrier that spent 3 weeks training with us focusing on recall, recall, loose leash walking, more recall, jumping and come command. 😆

The fox terrier is a lively breed bred for hunting fox & vermin. They are bold, independent & love to explore. They require training throughout their life. AKC describes them as a “lively, gregarious terrier with a devil-may-care attitude” 🫢

Living up to her breed standard, Nora’s recall is a priority in order to safely allow her opportunities to run and explore as she desires. E collar training opens doors for dogs like Nora by allowing more freedom due to our newfound trust and control.

Being as social as she is, we also worked on her manners and obedience around distractions like people & other dogs.

Nora was an absolute joy to work with & may be the reason I would consider owning one someday- such a hoot. Great job Nora girl! 👏🏼
