Heaven Scent K9 Our mission is to enrich the lives of canines & their owners by providing high standards of training, boarding and grooming.

Our business is a collaboration between mother and daughter: Pamela Peas and Jacklyn Brown. Jacklyn has wanted to open her own dog-related facility since her early years in high school. Her passion for training dogs is something that has only grown since she first began training her dog competitively in 2009. She graduated 2 semesters early from Trine University with a Bachelor's degree in managem

ent and became a certified K9 handler in 2018. Pamela grew up in Illinois and was raised on a farm. She taught fifth grade at an elementary school where she would often take her yellow Labrador Bailey to school with her and use him for interactive games with the students. Pam moved to Indiana with her husband Mark and made the decision to stay home and raise their 4 children. She has been active in the Wabash 4-H Dog Club parent committee and has traveled to visit Jacklyn on her K9 jobs. Jacklyn is thankful her mother gave her the opportunity to open a business together to do something they both love.

I worked with Ken and Trish all throughout college. They would feed me dinner after training class (often multiple times per week), they sent me off to Miami with a packed goody bag for SJ, we took trips to seminars & expos together, and Ken read a Bible verse at my wedding. Please keep my chosen family in your prayers. There is also a go fund me if you feel inclined 🤍🙏🏻

B&T Goose went home!
Goose is a stray that showed up & was so cute they had to keep him! He’s a sweet boy that spent the last few weeks working on fine tuning his crate training, drilling recall & building his foundational obedience.

Our instructor at the @arkencounter asked me my confidence level & when I answered “high”, he asked us to search the entire inventory room for 1 firecracker. It’s a very large space with lots of things to sniff (2nd clip). And Ripper delivered! First pass, say less 🧨 I’m so proud of his performance throughout this seminar ❤️‍🔥

B&T Annie went home! 🏡 She spent the last 3 weeks with us improving her obedience, manners & off leash control. We worked on teaching her better alternatives to problem behaviors she likes to partake in: darting through doorways, jumping on doors & cars, launching into vehicles and chasing the cat. We used mental & physical fulfillment, obedience skills & e collar control to show her better ways to behave. Annie’s a good girl with a bright future ahead! 🫶🏻

My 11 year old dog with 4 missing teeth & 3 knee surgeries is cooler than your dog .. I’d also hate to see what this animal could do if it hadn’t been too close to dinner time 🤣

Our Story
