Heaven Scent K9 Our mission is to enrich the lives of canines & their owners by providing high standards of training, boarding and grooming.

Our business is a collaboration between mother and daughter: Pamela Peas and Jacklyn Brown. Jacklyn has wanted to open her own dog-related facility since her early years in high school. Her passion for training dogs is something that has only grown since she first began training her dog competitively in 2009. She graduated 2 semesters early from Trine University with a Bachelor's degree in managem

ent and became a certified K9 handler in 2018. Pamela grew up in Illinois and was raised on a farm. She taught fifth grade at an elementary school where she would often take her yellow Labrador Bailey to school with her and use him for interactive games with the students. Pam moved to Indiana with her husband Mark and made the decision to stay home and raise their 4 children. She has been active in the Wabash 4-H Dog Club parent committee and has traveled to visit Jacklyn on her K9 jobs. Jacklyn is thankful her mother gave her the opportunity to open a business together to do something they both love.

B&T Chico spent 2 weeks progressing his started obedience! He had a great foundation for commands like sit, down, stationary heel & place. We got to work on his duration in those commands: staying for longer periods of time, maintaining commands around higher distractions & heeling for longer periods than a few strides.

& as always we practiced polite greetings! Wild Chico likes to greet vertically ⬆️

Chico is a fun & motivated young dog with a bright future ahead of him. 💫

The scent work class will use birch essential oil as the target odor unless you prefer differently. It’s always great to add another fulfilling activity to their toolbox for physical & mental stimulation!

B&T Winston just finished up 4 weeks of training!

Winston did a group class with us recently and struggled with excitability. If I approached him throughout the class to talk to his owner, he would become very disengaged & over aroused, often peeing from excitement. He pulled hard on the leash, jumped & mouthed excessively.

He’s worked very hard to remember his training around distractions and that good behavior is what might potentially grant him attention from others! He’s gained confidence for tasks like loading into vehicles. At pick up, he did not jump or mouth his owners despite being so happy to see them 🙌🏼

Winston was a joy to work with and I look forward to updates & continuing his progress with his owners 🤍
