Last week began with 7 new horses in need of varying forms of assistance. A farm visit whose access required a truck with 4WD, tons of clearance, and cruise control set to inch by inch. A grain delivery unloaded and carried to its destination by 3 women; one in her 60’s with a broken leg, 2 in their 70’s that likely oughta know better (us). Juggling Becky’s Gift calls while traveling. Chatting how we might best help.

At the end of the day, we sit in the truck in silence. Reflecting on the strength and tenacity of our amazing clients. Commenting in unison, “Kind of puts things in perspective, doesn’t it.” Life lessons are plentiful in our work, and we are humbled by them.

We quietly get out of the truck, wave as we go our separate ways. Lost in thought. Looking forward to what this week brings.
