Ingredients You’ll Need
Making these Chicken Bone Broth Gummy Treats only requires three simple ingredients:
2 cups of chicken bone broth (homemade or store-bought, unsalted)
4 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin
Optional: ½ teaspoon turmeric powder (for anti-inflammatory benefits)
That’s it! You can also customize these treats by adding parsley (for fresh breath), pumpkin puree (for digestion), or blueberries (for antioxidants).
How to Make Chicken Bone Broth Gummy Treats for Your Dog
Follow these easy steps to whip up a batch of homemade bone broth gummies!
Step 1: Heat the Bone Broth
Pour 2 cups of chicken bone broth into a saucepan and heat it over low to medium heat. You want it warm, but not boiling—about 150°F (65°C) is perfect. If the broth is too hot, it can destroy some of the beneficial nutrients.
Step 2: Add Gelatin
Sprinkle 4 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin over the warm broth while whisking continuously. Stir until the gelatin is fully dissolved. This step ensures your gummies set properly.
Step 3: Add Optional Ingredients
If you want to boost the health benefits, now is the time to add turmeric, parsley, or other superfoods. Stir well to combine.
Step 4: Pour Into Molds
Once everything is mixed, carefully pour the liquid into silicone molds. If you don’t have molds, you can use a shallow baking dish and cut the gummies into squares later.
Step 5: Chill and Set
Place the molds in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours until the mixture firms up. Once fully set, pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
