Noah is such a good boy. He did amazing on his day out — great in the car, great with kiddos, and is such a calm, cool and collected pup. We don’t know how he keeps getting passed over.

We have some exciting news to share about our favorite giant German Shepherd...

🎉 KING HAS A PENDING ADOPTION! 🎉

After waiting for his chance, King is one step closer to heading home with a family of his very own. Today, he went in for his neuter surgery so he could be adoption-ready.

Unfortunately, what we expected to be a routine procedure turned out to be much more complicated.

During surgery, our veterinary team discovered that King was unilaterally cryptorchid on his left side, meaning one testicle never descended properly and was located deep within his body cavity. Retrieving it required a much more invasive procedure than a standard neuter. King now has a larger incision and will likely be sore during his recovery due to the additional muscular involvement required to safely remove it.

The good news? Surgery was successful, and King is one step closer to his forever home.

The difficult news? Our shelter is now facing a veterinary bill of $733 for King's procedure.

As a small shelter already overwhelmed with medical cases, unexpected expenses like this hit us hard. But delaying surgery wasn't an option—we knew King deserved every chance to move forward into the life he's been waiting for.

Today, we're asking for help from the people who have followed King's journey and cheered him on along the way.

If you're looking for a kitten that checks all the boxes—cute, playful, affectionate, outgoing, and full of personality—allow us to introduce you to Chance.

This handsome 3.5-month-old boy sports a beautiful mackerel tabby coat and a face that is guaranteed to make you smile. Chance arrived at our shelter in mid-April alongside several of his kitten siblings and has been lucky enough to spend his time growing up in a loving foster home while waiting for his forever family.

Now he's ready for the next chapter of his story!

If laughter is the best medicine, Minnie may be the cure for just about everything.

This beautiful 2-year-old blue and white Pittie mix is equal parts gorgeous, goofy, and lovable. Every photo session with Minnie turns into a comedy show. In one picture, she looks like she's caught in the middle of a laugh. In another, we're pretty sure she's spotted her favorite toy, treat, or person. Whatever she's thinking, it always comes with an expression that makes everyone smile.

Minnie is ready to accept the position of your full-time sidekick and personal cheerleader.

🐾🖤 Meet Freya — a goddess of love, beauty, and second chances 🖤🐾

With her stunning black and white coat, graceful presence, and sweet personality, Freya certainly lives up to her namesake. Like the Norse goddess of love and beauty, this gorgeous girl has a way of capturing hearts wherever she goes.

Freya arrived at our shelter in mid-March along with several of her feline siblings after their owner experienced health issues and could no longer care for them. Since then, she has been patiently waiting and hoping that her forever family will come along.

We are so proud of our Middletown girls softball team! Not only do they wear our logo proudly while winning the majority of their games, they invited us to take part in their parade.

We had a BLAST! Mighty Mutt joined in the fun and even had the crowd barking! We can’t thank these girls and their coaches enough for making sure we were the team sponsor, and allowing us to be part of the team.

We sure felt the love of their community.
