One of the greatest actresses of our time, meet Meryl. This sweet, gentle, submissive and dramatic lady was found as a stray suffering a broken leg after being hit by a car. Luckily she found her way to Tehama County Animal Care Center who was able to get her accepted into the fractureprogram.at.ucd for repair. She is three weeks post surgery and now walking like nothing happened. Meryl is a 7 month old cattle dog mix and will be available for adoption once her recovery is complete.

Volunteers were up early this morning to join Tehama County Animal Care Center in Berkeley for Berkeley Humane’s Bark (and Meow) adopt-a-thon. Out of the 14 dogs with us this morning, 11 were adopted to new homes (of those 3 had been fostered with Deserving Pets Volunteers) and an additional one found a foster with a rescue partner. Titus was perfect and had a lot of interest but unfortunately didn’t find a home today and is still looking for a match. This 5 month old lab/border collie is people oriented, playful and smart. Luckily he has a foster for now so none of these guys have to sleep in the shelter again, but if you’re interested in him joining your family let us know. 🥰
