✨ Welcome Kody Nance to the Funky Family! ✨

We’re beyond excited to introduce Kody Nance as the newest member of the The Funky Poodle Ambassador Team 🐩💛

Kody is a pet groomer based in Anchorage, Alaska, with nearly 16 years of experience under her belt. She runs a truly unique grooming business—working as a mobile groomer in the spring and summer, and welcoming clients into her low-stress, one-on-one shop environment during the winter. She’s Fear Free Certified and has a deep passion for working with dogs who are often misunderstood, especially those with trust or behavioral challenges.

Kody began her career at a corporate salon as a bather and worked her way up to manager and mentor over seven years before stepping out on her own. Mentorship remains close to her heart—she loves teaching, sharing knowledge, and helping fellow groomers grow with the experience she’s gained over the years.

And if that wasn’t impressive enough… ✈️
For over 10 years, Kody has been flying to remote Alaskan villages—places only accessible by plane—to groom dogs in underserved communities. She sets up for the weekend and cares for as many pups as possible, building connections with people and pets across Alaska. She also donates her services to a local rescue, helping dogs get adoption-ready whenever she can.

For Kody, grooming is about so much more than haircuts:
It’s about trust, compassion, patience, and unconditional love. It’s about building bonds with dogs and honoring the emotional side of the work that so many don’t see.
