Easter brings beautiful spring blooms into our homes—but some of the most popular flowers can be dangerous (and even deadly) to our pets.
🚨 Common Easter plants to watch out for:
• Lilies (especially Easter lilies) – Extremely toxic to cats. Even small exposures (pollen, leaves, or water from the vase) can cause kidney failure.
• Tulips & Daffodils – Bulbs are the most toxic part and can cause vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, and heart issues.
• Hyacinths – Can lead to gastrointestinal upset and lethargy if ingested.
🐶🐱 Signs of toxicity may include:
Vomiting, drooling, loss of appetite, lethargy, or changes in urination—these can escalate quickly, especially with lilies in cats.
💡 Pet-safe tips:
✔ Keep all floral arrangements out of reach
✔ Avoid bringing lilies into homes with cats
✔ Clean up fallen petals or pollen immediately
✔ When in doubt—choose pet-safe flowers 🌼
⏰ If you think your pet may have been exposed, don’t wait. Early treatment can save lives.
